Let's talk about sleep

DD is just finishing up two weeks worth of a cold and cutting the last of her canines. Her sleep patterns have been total crap, because if that. And, im having a tough time getting her back on a schedule.

Just wondering if anyone else still has a LO getting up at night, needing to be rocked to sleep, etc. it would be nice to know that I'm not alone!!
Our little Samosa arrives in January!

Re: Let's talk about sleep

  • Well we are a tiny bit with you. For one, DD ALWAYS wakes and needs me when she has a cold or crappy teething so dint feel bad there.

Secondly, while DD doesn't call for me on nights she isn't sick anymore, I know she doesn't STTN. She has a music box that is attached to the side if her crib that she looked to play before going to bed. I hear it turned on the majority of nights, often more than once. So while she no longer needs me to self soothe she still doesn't do it completely on her own. I have a love hate relationship with the thing and am torn as to when to phase it out. So I might have it easier but you are not alone. :-)

  • So not alone, DS hasn't been sleeping well most night either. Last night he was up 3 times, every 2 hours. His canines have broken through and he's gotten his molars, but he's been drooling like crazy and I can't keep his hands out of his mouth, he chews on his tooth brush and the handle side of his spoon too. He's been fighting going down as well. I blame the time change as well, hope those teeth finish whatever they are doing and he adjusts to the new time, Mama is tired!
