Hello 2nd Tri ladies! I hope everyone is doing well!

This is a weekly check-in for PAIF members in their second trimester. You can feel free to join at 14 weeks and we will bid you an excited farewell on your way to 3rd Tri after 27 weeks.

I had a two part u/s today at my OB visit. They wanted to check on baby and placenta and cervix. Baby is looking good, placenta keeps moving farther away from my cervix, and cervical length was 4.7. My OB lifted all restrictions after reviewing the u/s

The tech was about 80% sure of the sex of the baby, so I had her write it down. My BFF wants to have us over on Friday for dinner and is making us our own reveal cake! (I'll be doing the same for her in about 6 weeks!) We will get a double check at our A/S on 11/17. The tech was funny today- she said "I'm pretty certain, but not positive!" so I promised her I wouldn't start painting yet!

QOTW: This baby's EDD is one week later than A's EDD, but I'm much smaller belly wise this time around. I find this very odd, but I'm sure I'll catch up soon enough!

Can I be added? I'm 14 weeks, EDD 5/2 and team pink!

I had an OB appointment yesterday, but it was just to talk about how I was feeling. I have a doppler I use every couple of nights, so that will keep me going until the anatomy scan in a month.

QOTW: I guess I'm surprised by how big my belly has gotten this early. I wasn't expecting to show until closer to 16-18 weeks, and I still think a lot of it is fat and things shifting around in there...but even things I bought last week to be loose around my stomach no longer fit. I am only 5ft tall, so I guess that's why things are getting moved around sooner.

Still feeling good minus the back pain, 1/2 baked today :-) I. Have a routine OB appointment next week, will go over the results of my early GD screen (due to being overweight and having PCOS) and probably book my 28 week ultrasound (because of the 2 vessel cord). QOTW: I think I underestimated how early I would be showing and how soon the back pain would start.

Hey all!!! 26w4d and 3rd tri is creeping up on me quickly. Im feeling really good and just getting excited about our baby showers. I have our growth scan and possibly the last ultrasound at 28weeks. Im still in awe of this pregnancy and the fact that there is a little baby growing inside of me.

QOTW: This may sound odd to a lot of people... but I find baby movements strange. Ive been feeling him consistently since 16wks and I still havent gotten used to the flutters kicks. Im happy he is moving and I can feel him, but I just think its so weird and annoying times annoying. Add insult to injury, all I hear is wait til it gets worse the bigger he gets. HA! But I'll take anything if it means having my precious LO.

Hi! I would like to be added! I am 14 weeks, due May 4th! @gsancho so happy you are here too!

I had a check up on Monday, the heartbeat was good and strong at 152. We go to find out the sex in 17 days! Can you tell I am counting!? It will have been almost 7 weeks since we last got to see the baby, so we are excited to see how much he/she changed! I am also making my way out of the nasties and feeling more like myself!

my last check in on second tri! it seems so surreal! Wishing you ladies the best and I will see some of you over on third-tri

My babies are doing great and gaining weight like crazy. I see my MFM tomorrow to check on the babies and to check my cervix. He will then make his decision on bedrest. Even if I am not on bedrest I will be on restrictive movement (wheelchair at work, no housework or going out etc..) Honestly I am getting so uncomfortable that I am getting more ready for bedrest mentally.

QOTW: The only thing I like about pregnancy is feeling my babies move. The rest of it is just scary and uncomfortable. Of course After years of infertility and loss I am so incredibly grateful to be here and this far but I can't wait till I get to hold my babies on the outside and know they are good.

I'll be 25 weeks tomorrow with these two munchkins! I see my OB tomorrow, haven't been there in 4 whole weeks, so I'm excited to hear their heartbeats - I love that sound so much

I also assume we'll be booking the GTT, and as of 28 weeks I think we start growth u/s every 3-4 weeks. We are working away on the nursery, I'm hoping to paint this week, and then we have our prenatal classes this weekend. My mind is boggled at how fast time is flying by now!

QOTW: Honestly, I know MS can come back at any point so knock on wood, I expected to have it bad. I have long dealt with nausea for random or no apparent reasons, I spent all of our inject cycles very nauseated and feeling like crap, I totally expected to have bad MS once I got KU. I like to think I got it out of the way before pregnancy!

27 weeks, my last week of second trimester, moving on now. I have my second glucose test tomorrow, ugh, sounds like fun.

QOTW: this time around I feel like I'm either leaking more or having more discharge, yuck. Plus not nice skin this pregnancy, was totally breaking out until recently. And if course, the super sniffer (any Psych fans out there?) I swear I can smell everything! There are a few garbages in the house I can't change or I just gag

I am 22 weeks today. I heard from my OB's office and they were able to confirm a date for my RCS, unless I go into labor earlier. Not much else going on. My next appointment's not until the 17th. We're heading to FL for a long weekend, so that should be fun.

QOTW: I guess the nausea and dry-heaving wasn't really unexpected since I also had it this far along with my DS, but whoever says no two pregnancies are the same is a liar! LOL. However, being more exhausted this time around was unexpected. I guess that's from trying to keep up with DS these days.

I am 14 weeks and due May 5th!! I have my next OB appointment on the 10th...very excited to hear the heartbeat!

Hi Ladies!

Nothing new to report here, still taking meds and still waiting for that 2nd tri energy but the baby is starting to kick for me which is really weird! He was so active today!

QOTD: I don't have a major bump yet, but it's really weird to see how my stomach took shape and is really firm and weird. Also, wasn't expecting to be so sick, but I'm getting used to it I guess.

This is my last 2nd tri check-in! I'll be 28 weeks on Friday. So crazy. I will miss you ladies and can't wait to see some of you on the 3rd tri check-in soon

I am feeling great and looking forward to our growth ultrasound next week. It feels like I haven't see baby girl in a long time.

QOTW: The only thing unexpected was how sick I was until 14 weeks. It was the complete opposite of my first pregnancy and I never expected to be on an IV at home.

@kmc84 - Congrats on such good scan news, and have fun at your reveal! Since both sets of grandparents are coming over for Tgiving, which is only a week and a half after we'll find out the sex, we've been thinking of little scratch offs at dinner as a fun way to tell tell them (like this). You've just given me the idea that we could find out at the same time--could be fun!

AFM, not a lot of news. No appts until the a/s on the 16th (had the date wrong in my brain), but there's still a hb on the Doppler, which is always reassuring. I'm still tired all the time and the RL pain has started, but otherwise I feel fine.

Working a lot on the registry in advance of holiday shopping and bargains (still can't believe I got our fave mattress for half off!). Just pulled the preggers woman thing, one of the first times, and sent OH to get Thai food. Hope he hurries back bc I am STARVING!

QOTW: The constant exhaustion has been really surprising. Otherwise I'm surprised by how boring it is compared to years of constant attention and news from IF Drs. I hope it stays boring for another five-ish months!

Hi ladies!
25w1d over here! Nothing much new to report.
I have an OB appt next Friday the 14th for my 1 hour glucose screening and regular visit. Starting to get a little nervous for the appt. I've been very diligent about watching my diet and going to barre classes every other day. I'm hoping the scale is my friend and my dr is happy with me.
QOTW: I am surprised by the constant stuffy, thick snot in my nose. I am constantly blowing my nose, using nasal strips and saline nasal spray to attempt to breathe slightly normal. Weird.

Hello ladies! 24 wks here. Not much going on. Feeling pretty good pregnancy wise but still battling this nasty cough. Doc prescribed me some "good" medicine so fx this does the trick. I'm just drained from coughing 24/7 for 6 wks

Oh and I peeked at my registry... so fun lol.

QOTW: I have skin tags galore! Only had a few pre-pregnancy but man that are popping up everywhere! I'm very happy that baby girl is kicking but I'm not enjoying it. I just don't like it. Like Jaz said it's just weird...can't get use to it.

Hi everyone! I am 15w, 3d. I feel good pregnancy-wise, but have a nasty cold, so that isn't so fun! Next week we have an ultrasound at 16 weeks to check cervix length so hopefully that brings good news. QOTW: I am also a little surprised that I am clearly showing already...it kind of freaks me out that I will be huge quick, but who knows?!?

24w6d and feeling much better this week. Kidney stones are not fun at all. I'm really hoping they don't come back!
We are knocking out a ton in the nursery this weekend before furniture arrives. New baseboards and frown moulding go in tomorrow before new carpet Saturday--which wasn't part of the original plan but blue paint on white carpet made it necessary. I'm glad to get something darker and more practical in there.
QOTW: I'm surprised that I feel as good as I do with only getting two hours of sleep at a time because I have to pee!

Hello ladies! 25 weeks tomorrow and I passed my glucose test! Woo hoooo!! I'm a little anemic, but I've ben bad about my prenatal vitamins because I've been having evil heartburn lately and they were aggravating it. Have to get on the ball with that. Otherwise moving along. Baby shower is a month away

QOTW: I'm shocked (and blessed and super grateful) that I didn't have major MS. My mom and sister both had terrible MS so I was expecting that.

Hi everyone! I'm coming up on 25 weeks over here. Nothing to report. I have my monthly midwife appointment next week, but we're all done for ultrasounds over here. Just chugging along and starting to stress about house projects- I actually sat down and counted how many weekends between now and my EDD we'll have free, and it was not many. So much to do!

QOTW: I'm the opposite of @gsancho and @aeml1985. I am amazed by how late I started showing! At 21ish weeks people said I finally "popped" and strangers started commenting on my belly. Also, amazed at the intensity of baby movements. They don't bother me, but some of them are surprising and really seem like they must have something larger than a 20 oz. little human causing them.

Hi ladies! It was fun reading to catch up on everyone!
I'm 21wks1d. Anatomy scan came back perfect. (whew!) I have a heartbeat appt next week, but I really want an u/s to see inside!!!

The constant (and mostly yellow) discharge was a gross surprise. At 21wks, I'm surprised at how much I'm showing (it popped around 19wks - disappointed, really) and how uncomfortable I am already at this stage. I HATE dropping anything because leaning over to pick it up is a challenge. I cramp if I roll the wrong way in bed. It's annoying, especially since I keep reading about pregnant weight lifters and marathon runners - who are those super-incubators?! I'm also sad that I haven't felt any movement that I'm sure is the fetus (and not food digesting) yet.

Oh... and poop! I never poop and it makes me want to cry!

Hello, I'd like to join. I'm 15w1d today with twins. EDD 4/29/15 no team info yet.

I had a regular OB check up earlier this week, and both heartbeats were easy to find and going strong. I haven't had any spotting since my last appointment, so my follow up was scheduled for 3 weeks later instead of 2.

My next MFM appointment is 11/13, but I'm really looking forward to the A/S on 12/04. I'm anxious to know the sex(es) of these babies.

QOTW: I feel like it all surprises me - the lack of m/s (thank you!), the overwhelming exhaustion, the constant heartburn, the sudden expansion of my waist at 14 weeks (but still not a proper bump, I just don't fit into my pants anymore). I find it all pretty fascinating (easy for me to say, as I was lucky enough to dodge m/s so far).

I feel like I am really looking forward to feeling movement, but after reading some of the QOTW responses, maybe I'll enjoy this quiet time.

@ksgsmu‌ I think I jinxed myself... When i was talking abt cervix checks every week & skipping & you said "everything's good til it's not". Well went Thursday for my last cervical length & I'm still in the hospital 3 days later with contractions & shortened cervix. Hopefully I'll get out on modified bed rest Tuesday!! I just had to tell you bc I was whining to you abt going so often lol.

Things are good with us tho. Hanging in there. Glad to read the good reports from everyone! Don't skip any appointments!! haha.
