What kind of things do you think are must haves? I know there is a lot of useless stuff out there... But anything you loved? Dehumidifier? Mamaroo? Swing?
Hahaha perfect. But I mean like the extras, I know some people swear by certain things. Like the mamaroo or a certain type of swing or a cool most humidifier I just don't know what to do! So many options!
For me, the only MUST Have besides basics is a video monitor that flashes when it detects noise because I do not wear my hearing aids at night, and if baby cries, I want to be able to see on the video monitor if it's a stir or a cry without waking him up further.
The cool mist humidifier has definitely seen a lot of use in my house.
I had both a K'tan and a Boba for DS (baby carriers). The K'tan was great until about 4 months, and then I preferred the Boba.
As far as swings, bouncers, etc -- I think the best option is what works in the space you have. Swings can take up a good amount of space and tend to stay in one spot in the house. A bouncer or portable bassinet can move around the house with you and seem to me to take up less space.
My son spent a lot of time on his play mat on the floor, so I think those are a good buy.
I only used an exersaucer for maybe 2-3 months? That is one thing that I think tends to be particularly overpriced, and I would try to find through craigslist or a FB yardsale group.
