Re: ♡♡♡AMA Check-in 11/10♡♡♡

  • Hi @rubysi!  How are you doing this week?

AFM:  My O came early this month so DH and I did not get in as much sexy time as I would've liked.  I also had O pains mostly on my left side (the side with no tube) so I already feel like I'm out.  Being that it's our first month back, I really didn't expect it to happen anyway, but it sucks having so little hope.  The good news is it seems like my weight loss moved my O date up, so I hope that this is my new "norm".

QOTW: I'm thankful for my aunt.  With my mother passing, she's become the closest thing I have to a mom and I don't think I could've made it through this year without her.

  • @rubysi thanks for the check in.  I hope you are doing well.
@mmpar I'm sorry that you aren't happy with your timing.  I hope your O date can stay earlier though.

AFM: I went to a wedding this weekend and the bride got a stomach bug and missed most of the reception.  I felt really bad for her.  I drank too much but I don't care.  They had transportation from the venue to the hotel so driving was not an issue.  Plus I was CD 4 so no worries about TWW or implantation, etc.  I just scheduled my HSG for wednesday and I need to go get the rx for antibiotics filled now.  My FSH was low and AMH was high which is good, but that combined with my late/irregular O makes me think that maybe I have PCOS type issues.

QOTW:  I am thankful for my H and my family.  They really are very supportive and I don't know how I would get through without them.

Congrats on the weight loss. Just a little bit can do amazing things to the cycle. So now you know more "sexy time" earlier. ;) I love that you get the support from your aunt.

It is good to let loose once in a while... I usually do on cd1. The high AMH does usually indicate pcos, did your Dr speak to you about this? Good luck at the hsg. My advice is relax all your muscles, I tensed up at it wasn't pleasant.

  • @rubysi ~ Thanks for the check-in. How are you?

@rmpar29 ~ I'm sorry your timing wasn't the best, but that's great news that your weight loss may be regulating your cycle! FX that's the new norm for you!

@tlc35 ~ Nothing wrong with having a little fun now and then. I have similar issues...FSH and AMH are high, but I O rather late and have always been suspicious of a hormonal imbalance with similarities to PCOS. You never know.

AFM: I've been having a tough time with the whole TTCAL journey lately. MH and I were brainstorming ways to get me out of this funk & focused on other things. We decided this weekend to purchase early "Christmas gifts" for each other in the form of personal training packages through our gym. I really need to lose the extra pounds I've been carrying around since these losses started happening, and I was afraid of going crazy during the holidays (ie, eating too much, exercising too little) - so this should definitely help! I had my first session this morning and got my butt kicked. It's a great feeling & I'm glad that I now have other big goals on which to focus :D I also went to my favorite hot yoga class yesterday for the first time in a LONG TIME...and it was amazing.

So today, I am thankful for my awesome gym, my trainer, and of course my fantastic H for being game to this plan and buckling down with me. :) I'm also thankful for our country's veterans - especially my very own dad. And for that fact that I get Veterans Day off tomorrow. ;)
I like the idea of focusing on getting you happy... you deserve it. The personal trainer sounds awesome.

  • Thank you for asking. I am doing ok. I am feeling better, still have a lingering cough. CD 12 bfn, guessing I am out again. I sent an email to my Dr to see if next cycle will be the same protocal. Work has and will be crazy until black friday. I am making plans to start baking, probably not as much as last year. I made over 600 cookies last holiday season, it was what I did to keep myself busy after my loss. I have just started a loaf of bread to rise... 9 more hours till fresh bread. I am thankful for my dogs. They make me laugh, provide heat, aand snuggle when I am sad.

  • @tlc35 - I hope that your HSG goes well.  I agree, relaxing your muscles is the best thing to do.  Good luck!

@HoldingOutHope - I'm so sorry that you and DH are struggling so much.  I think the personal trainer sounds wonderful! ((((HUGS)))) love!

@rubysi - I'm so sorry about the BFN!  I hope you hear back from your doctor soon.  Are you hoping to change up your protocol?  Yummy, I love fresh bread!

@furrypaws - I'm so sorry that things are tough right now.  I hope that FW comes with some good changes for you.  Many ((((HUGS))))

I am fine with this protocol. This was the only the second time with a trigger shot. The first time there was a communication error between 2 Dr's and it was taken late. I am not sure if the dr will Co tinge it.

Hey @rubysi! Thanks for the ckin.

Not too much going on here. CD6.

Kinda in a slump at the moment. Work is on my nerves and my Mum still has a feeding tube in. Just frustrated w/ things and just want to go home and be with my fur babies and DH.

I am looking forward to making the most of my fertile week next week... ;)

And having our family over for Turkey Day.

I'm not really in a thankful mood this week...maybe next week...

I am sorry about the slump. At least the fur babies are there for you, and of course we are here for you. Do you cook the traditional Thanksgiving meal? I did once but it was too stressful to have that many dishes that needed to be ready all at the same time. ((Hugs)).

  • @rubysi my AMH is 5.8 and CD 3 FSH is 3.8, LH of 6.4.  So LH/FSH is almost 2:1.  The only thing that doesn't fit PCOS so far is that they didn't see (or at least say) a string of pearls on my u/s.

I haven't seen my RE to discuss these results yet but I will talk to him about it next week when I go in for my mid-cycle u/s and post-coital test.

I'm sorry for the BFN @rubysi

@holdingouthope I hope the personal training helps with your mental and physical health.  I'm sorry things are tough.

@furry paws we are cycle twins.  I am also CD 6.  I hope that things look up soon.

  • Thanks for the check-in!  Sorry to post quickly and run, I am so close to finishing my book I just need to get it done at this point.  I promised MH I would send the draft in before starting IVF meds on the 23.  Plus we are still finishing some home projects.

((HUGS)) to everyone, I see a lot of people are in a runt right now.  I think if work wasn't so crazy I would be there as well.

Q: Not sure what to be thankful for right now, which I know is a bad attitude.  But I am looking forward to seeing my BFF before xmas, I haven't seen her in almost 2 years, its crazy!
  • Hi everyone!

@rubysi Thanks for the check in.  Sorry for the BFN :(

@tlc35 Good luck with the HSG.  Keep me posted on how it goes.  I need to schedule mine, too (but I am wondering if I should wait until after the surgery - I'm going to ask)

@rmpar29 Sorry that the O date moved on you, but it sounds like you are happy if that is now your new norm so that's good.

@furrypaws Sorry that your mom still has a feeding tube and you're in a bit of a slump.  Give the fur babies a hug later, I find that helps me :)  ((Hugs))

@holdingouthope I am glad the workout endorphins gave you a boost.  I hope you get out of your funk soon.  ((Hugs))

AFM: I haven't tested, but I am spotting and my temp is down so I expect AF this evening or tomorrow.  I scheduled my CD3 testing for Wednesday (they said it could be either CD2 or CD3 so I am covered either way).  For my initial blood work the only thing abnormal so far is my Vitamin D level so I have started supplements.  I am anxiously awaiting my AMH results, but I was told that typically takes 2 weeks to come back so I probably won't know until next Monday or there about.  I have my MRI with contrast on Friday and I am a bit nervous about that.  We shall see how it goes.
Otherwise, I guess I am now on the bench until late March or April which sucks.  On the other hand, my reading about submucosal fibroids coupled with the opinion from the RE have made me thankful that I did not get KU because the chance of another loss with them there is insanely high (40% for first trimester and >15% for the second and third).

I am also thankful for my upcoming job transfer (one more week!) and my wonderful supportive husband.

Hi ladies, I have missed the last couple of weeks!

I am on cd5 and due to start femara tonight through cd9.  My first medicated cycle was a bust, but I did end up with a cd16 O which is much earlier than normal!
Fx this medicated cycle does the trick. Yay for the earlier O, did your cycle length change as well?

Thanks for the check in @rubysi‌ and hello to everyone!

I had an off day yesterday, maybe because of what would have been my EDD coming up or it could have been AF that came and I was just an emotional, hot, mess lol. I feel better today though :)

QOTW : in hopes of not sounding like a kiss ass, I am really, truly, thankful for this board and the ladies on it. I honestly don't know if I would be as well off mentally if it wasn't for everyone here. So thanks! :)

    Edit: typos
I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

  • Hi, @rubysi, and thanks for checking in! I just read that bit about 600 cookies...I'm trying to picture them. Wow :-)

I'm still crazy busy at work, but I noticed today that I have found a rhythm of sorts as always happens when the semester settles in a bit. I still look forward to calmer times, though! Had a big success at work where a proposal was well received and that request for the program I co-direct essentially granted. Next will be making it all happen.

I had the weirdest dream last night. Somehow, my mom was there, and in that dream she mixed up a weird, weird pregnancy test and declared it was positive even though I had not realized anything of the sorts. It was just so bizarre because the "test" looked like a contraption from Regina's Evil Queen cupboard from Once Upon a Time, in blue and red tones, no less. I was a bit freaked out by that because we're not even trying anymore...maybe still wishful thinking?

I'm thankful for all the creature comforts I get to enjoy each day and for family, friends, and DH. Except when life's little annoyances take over, I feel so lucky.

@meredithcarole - I'm sorry about the long bench time, but I can relate to your relief at not being KU right now. Stay sane through all the testing--remember: eat the elephant one bite at a time!

@mlal78 - Nice seeing you again here :-)

@furrypaws - I'm sorry your mom still has the feeding tube.

Hugs, guys. Have a great rest of the week.
Are you saying it was someone's heart. Isn't that what Regina keeps in her cupboard? That's awesome you have found your rhythm, it makes work so much easier. Congrats on the proposal.
