Should I continue to feed my Lo every 2 to 3 hours even if he is sleep or not fussy.....when does this all day feeding end my Lo is 6 weeks now (can't wait to sleep through the night)
Enjoy your sleep! Once LO is back to birth weight, you can let them sleep longer. I was super lucky and my LOs all started STTN (at least a good 5-6 hour stretch) around 6 weeks. I would leak even with a bra on, but my boobs adjusted after just a few days.
My baby started sleeping through the night about a week ago at 6 weeks. I was definitely excited to sleep myself, but I was worried about my milk supply and that LO was getting enough nutrition. My pediatrician said it was fine to let him sleep through the night, being that he has been gaining weight consistently and has been eating more during the day to set off the night sleeping. LO is getting into a healthy routine in which he feeds more before bed and when he wakes up in the morning, and my milk supply isn't hurting, either. Just to make sure, I would check with your pediatrician, being that he/she knows your baby's history.
Re: baby sleeping and bfeeding
Unless there is a medical problem, the general consensus is to enjoy your sleep while it lasts!
