Hello, ladies. I'm crossing over from TTCAL. I've really enjoyed the support over there, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. I just got my BFP this weekend, and I'm really excited but also scared, which I'm sure is a pretty common thing here. And really, I think the positive test is still kind of sinking in.
A little background on me:
MH and I have been together for almost 10 years. We've been married for 8 1/2 years, and had been TTC since we got married. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease) last year, and about 7 months later, I got my first ever BFP. I was honestly in disbelief over it for a while...actually until I had my first u/s. MH's family has had bad luck with announcing their pregnancies early, so we chose to keep it a secret until about 12 weeks. I really thought I was in the clear at that point, but sadly, I wasn't. My water broke, for unknown reasons, around 16w, and I lost my little boy at 17w2d. My OB suspects that it may have been due to IC, but said he wouldn't know for sure until I got pregnant again.
So here I am. Scared, excited, nervous, happy, all at once. I was a little worried that we'd have a hard time with getting pregnant again since it took us 8 years the first time. Although I was late and kind of expected the BFP, it still was a nice surprise.
I'm looking forward to meeting you all, and hope have a nice long stay here.
