Fussy while trying to latch

anyone else having issues with their LO being super fussy and frantic when trying to latch on while breastfeeding? She has always been pretty good latching since birth (she's 4 wks) and she doesn't always do this frantic head back and forth, legs and arms moving deal but when she does it's hard and gets frustrating for me and her! Any thoughts?

Yep I had this issue - my LO still does it sometimes when he's frustrated that he's not getting a letdown quickly enough. I initially talked to a couple LCs and one suggested doing more skin to skin. That day I laid in bed with him skin to skin for like five hrs letting him nurse whenever he wanted. That was our turning point and he started nursing more calmly.

Edit to add - he also tends to do that when he's gassy or needs his diaper changed! Sometimes solving one of those issues is all it takes to calm him down enough to nurse.
