I posted this in 0-3 months and no responses yet, so I figure I'd ask you ladies

My DS is 8 weeks old, and, about a week ago, he has only been pooping one big poop every 2-3 days. I know stools taper off the older they get, but it seems like he is just trying to poo so hard, sometimes and like he is uncomforyable because he's not popping as often as he was. I plan to call the pedi on Monday, but I've heard different things from different drs. FWIW: DS is EBF, his poops are soft and kind of runny, and normal colored. I've had his regular pedi say it's normal, but his specialists kind of side eye me when I told them his stool pattern, and they said to keep an eye on it. Any Experiences or advice on this is much appreciated . TIA
Re: How often is your LO pooping?
FWIW, I've been told it's completely normal for BF babies to go up to 2 weeks without pooping as long as they don't seem uncomfortable it isn't a cause for concern. However, to be honest, I would be pretty concerned if she went that long without pooping and SUPER concerned what that poop would be like

LO is FF, so I'm a little different here, but she has a horrible time pooping. Struggles very hard, screams bloody murder! Her poor little tummy bloats like crazy. I've been calling her poops, rabbit poop! Because it looks like little rocks. Sorry for tmi! The pedi gave me lactulose to give her, he said after she was "cleaned out" I might not have to use it again. But the next poop is hard and she's going crazy. So she gets it about once or twice a day.
But, even though his tummy isn't distended and his poo seems pretty normal, I think I will still call the pedi in Monday, as he seems fussy when he doesn't poo, but calms down after a massive blowout.
