Baby's Belly Button

So I guess I thought that when the cord fell off she would have a "normal" looking belly button. But there is actually still a decent size bump there and it doesn't look very "belly button like", if that makes sense. I meant to ask the doctor when I was there this past week but I forgot as I was more focused on all the red bumps on her face/chin (turned out to be baby acne). Should it be more even with the rest of the belly or is it normal for it to protrude a little. I did read something about an umbilical hernia, is this what it could possibly be?

    My LO has an umbilical hernia and it sticks out like 1/2 inch. But DD1 didn't and hers stuck out for a while too.

    ETA: DD1's went in after some time.

    My dd has an umbilical hernia and it makes her belly button stick out a bit. I would just ask your doctor.

    That is how DS's is. Dr didn't seem concerned.

    DS1 had the bump in his button, it turned into a normal innie after a while.
