  3. How did you decide on DC's name? We wanted something different and we came across this in a baby name book with a 'c' only and we both liked different endings for Aleck so we put the c and k in there and that is how we decided on his name :-)

What was your DC's favorite present?  He LOVES the FP Singalong Stage (the microphone in particular) and the FP Rock & Play Piano... his favorite first birthday gift from yesterday is the Parents cell phone from Target (he has walked around with it all day) and this annoying little guitar that my SIL gave him... it was originally a gift from us to our nephew 6 years ago, and she has so graciously returned it to us full circle - and of course Ethan LOVES it, lol!

  3. How did you decide on DC's name? We both wrote names on a list and that was on both of our list.  I also knew that his middle name had to be Wesley and Evan went well with it.

How did you decide on DC's name?  Because we both teach, we've had thousands of students... which greatly limited our options.  Every time dh or I mentioned a name, we had a predisposed impression of someone with that name.  However, we kept coming back to the name Brandon as we were pondering names, and that's what we went with.  We have a girl name picked out; if we have another boy we're in trouble.

  3. How did you decide on DC's name? We looked at the Social Security website's listing of the Top 500 baby names from the previous year. I ruled out anything in the Top 100. These were two of the very few we agreed on, (although we did disagree over the spelling of Kadence.) We just picked more traditional middle names that sounded good with their first names, that way if they grow up and hate their slightly offbeat first name they can choose to go by their middle name instead.
  4. What area of town do you live in? Eastgate area
  5. What is your occupation (SAHM included!!)? Paralegal
  6. What's DH's occupation? Sales Manager
  7. What is your favorite thing to do with DC? With Piper, I love taking her places. It's so fun watching her be amazed at everything. I recently realized that a trip to PetSmart is just as exciting as a trip to the aquarium for her :-) With Kady, my favorite thing right now is just cuddling her. I know how short this stage really is.
  8. What is your DC's room decor? Neither of them have themes. Piper's is kind of a shabby chic look with mostly pastel pinks, blues & white, little flowery prints. Kady's has more bright colors - purples, yellows, pinks - flower decals on the walls, flower shaped table & shelving.
  9. What's your hobby? My favorite hobby is reading (and talking about books!)
  10. What is your favorite movie & book? I have so many favorite books - I think my absolute favorite is The Time Traveler's Wife. Also The Road, To Kill a Mockingbird, American Wife, Prep, Memoirs of a Geisha, and so many more I can't think of right now.
  11. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Anywhere! We are in bad need of a vacation, haven't been on one since our honeymoon 6 years ago. I would love to go back to St. Lucia, or maybe to an all-inclusive family resort somewhere. I've also always wanted to visit NYC.
  12. What are you hoping for this year? To get back to my pre-baby(s) weight. And to finally get our kitchen re-done! (we have this horrible gold flecked laminate and this hideous beams running from the ceiling to the countertops)
  13. What was your favorite Christmas present? This (fake) lambswool blanket from my parents, it's sooo comfy. I am a blanket-a-holic. Our parents also both gave us money so we could finish our sunroom, and it's very appreciated and is so nice to have another room to hang out in.
  14. What was your DC's favorite present? Of all the fancy and elaborate presents Piper got, her favorite is this "corn popper" push toy. She also loves her Hello Kitty purse. I don't think Kady really has a favorite present.

  3. How did you decide on DC's name? I just really liked it, but ti took some convincing of Tim (he thought it was a dog's name).

  7. What is your favorite thing to do with DC? I love to just be able to stay home with him, since we are at the hospital 4+ days a week for dialysis.

  1. What's your name & DH's name? - I don't put it on here (not because of nesties, but the weirdos in teh world), b/c MrsMoher, really is Mrs. Moher.  Bad choice of names for me. 
  2. What is DC's name(s)? - Elijah
  3. How did you decide on DC's name? - One name is DH and the rest I just fell in love with.  For me it was uber important to have a name that could be shortened to a nickname, because mine cannot and I hated not having a nickname.
  4. What area of town do you live in? - Alexandria, KY
  5. What is your occupation (SAHM included!!)? - For now, I work as a Client Service manager at an investment company for our 401k customers.  Sounds exciting and well paid (both would be incorrect assumptions... lol).  Oh and I am a full time mommy, of course! The pay is a little better there, well as long as you accept kisses as payment.
  6. What's DH's occupation? - He works for the same company but is a phone center manager (temporarily, we are hoping it later becomes permanent so he can get the pay increase).
  7. What is your favorite thing to do with DC? - I love to dance with him or watch "movies".  I found a few kiddo approriate you tube videos (baby einstien, disney) and we watch a few before bed.  He loves the disney songs.  Especially, "ta ta" which is Hakuna Matata (he he).
  8. What is your DC's room decor? - Currently it is light blue with winney the pooh stuff that I hand made for him.  In a few months he will be moving to his big boy bedroom which will be either baseball (dh's favorite sport) or it will be jungle theme, since he LOVES monkeys.
  9. What's your hobby? - Scrapbooking (when I find time) and sewing and I love reading smutty books
  10. What is your favorite movie & book? - Movie - American Presient probably, book - classic is Jane Eyre and series is the Dark Tower Series by Stephen King (they are fantasy/sci fi)... my tastes are very eclectic.
  11. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? - HANDS DOWN Bora Bora in an all inclusive staying in one of the glass bottomed over the water hut.  Maybe one day!  Realistically and what I can afford, I went on my 1st cruise last year and I am in love.  Trying to convince DH to go on one this year, if we have enough left over after paying off the car.
  12. What are you hoping for this year? - A new baby, all debt (except our home) to be paid in full, and maybe to be a SAHM... maybe.
  13. What was your favorite Christmas present? - My 8GB Ipod.  DH surprised me.  I thought he would buy the el-cheapo knock off and small GB version, but he got me the purple one I really wanted.  Unasked for of course!  Yeah for my DH.
  14. What was your DC's favorite present? - He loves his cars.  He got a toddler safe set of about 40 cars (we went overboard, I know) and a three teired toddler safe car race track that he adores.  His second favorite gift (and my least favorite) is this steering wheel thing designed to fit over their lap in the car seat without a volume control (complete with horns and police sirens and all... talk about scaring the crap outta you... that thing will do it)!

  3. How did you decide on DC's name?  We had a huge list of first names and narrowed it down each month.  We didn't decide on his first until I was about 8 1/2 months.  His middle name comes from his great grandfather.

  7. What is your favorite thing to do with DC?  Since he's only a little over a week old we have pretty much just been staring at him in awe, cuddling with him, and getting to know everything detail about him.
