I thought this was a funny video.  There days I laugh about things I hear and other days I just SMH.

    Very funny video, but unfortunately people say those stuff!!! I am going through the process foster to adopt and some of the questions I got that left me speechless were Are you taking a crack baby?" and " Wouldn`t you prefer to have your own child?"  Jezz....

    I heard all of these when my parents worked in a foster home in the 1980's. Sadly, somethings do not change.

    Mother of two wonderful boys! Blessed through adoption.

    Sadly, we heard most of these, too, and we didn't foster.  People are just ignorant.

    Clicked the wrong forum, but my parents fostered kids when we were growing up and we knew a lot of other foster families.  I've heard all of these, many times.  Except with the kid setting the house on fire one, I'd get to respond "yep, I know that kid.  He got a good family, and now he's not only well-adjusted, but is a great kid."
