Saturday night randoms

So I'm highly considering going out for sushi tonight...I'm just a little nervous about the possibility of getting the evil eye. I am wearing a slightly loose T-shirt, so maybe nobody will notice? What plans do you guys have this evening?

Re: Saturday night randoms

  • Salad and TV at home with the 2 year old. Lots of paw patrol and wallykazam. ... I'm feeling wild. ;)

  • I pulled out all of Dd's clothes to purge. Since we have no idea if we will have another girl I don't want to hold on to it all. So I'm hoping to purge by half. I have so much clothing! I ordered space bags to try and minimize storage.

I also pulled all my clothes out of the attic to purge. I have 1 tote of smaller clothes maybe I will fit back into. I got rid of all of my sweatshirts since none fit. Who knows when I will fit them again and if I do get smaller I want new stuff. So out everything went. Feels good to get rid of stuff.

We watched the Swiss family Robinsons. I always loved that movie.
  • It is also 80 degrees in our living room we have a wood stove and there is no happy medium. It makes my skin so much worse and I have being hot. I would almost rather keep the heat set at 50 than have it 80 in here
  • I am working this evening (I nanny for an autistic/downs child) and their dog put it's nose into the bottom of my bag, found my newest sonogram pictures, and proceeded to tear them into pieces while I was upstairs putting the child to bed. I came down to see bits and pieces of my baby pics laying all over the floor. I was so mad and started sobbing, then called my husband who consoled me that I may be able to get copies at my next sonogram. I did my best to tape them all back together. Stupid dog. So that's been my Saturday night so far.

Andplusalso it's Saturday night. I'm doing what all good Canadians are doing.......watching hockey.

How was the trade show? Anything worthwhile we need to know about?

H is working tonight so I'm watching some football and eating chunky soup. I bought DD some Christmas presents at target today, and she shit her pants over this walking horse thing. It's going to be the hit of the year.

Ugh, we have a wood stove we use for heating our lower level. There are two temp settings...off/arctic tundra, and on/satan's loins. There are times in January I have all of the windows in my house open when it's 10* outside because the wood stove is the devil.

Seriously. Ours in the living room and heats our main level and basically the upstairs. I crack the sliding doors constantly.

Also, dd wouldn't eat the pizza we bought and I can't blame her but now it's past bed time and she is taking her sweet time eating a snack. I just want her to go to bed! I should have just given her something else before but I figured she would eat the pizza. Blah.

    Man am I cranky.

At both of our u/s so far my H has asked for the images on a CD. They were happy to do it!
  • I'm crafting and watching Gilmore Girls. Been feeling kind sick today, slept poorly last night and DH is out of town and didn't let me know he got there safe. Kinda in a poopy mood. Lonely and just kinda sad rn...
  • Moping around the house with the dogs and watching TV because my DH is on a business trip. Moping will end tomorrow when I pick him up from the airport.

@redneckmomma25 and @RHoPA1109 : Our wood stove is in our living room also. Not quite cold enough to use it every day yet, but I know how you feel!

  • I spent the day with my mom at a Christmas craft show and then shopping after. I got several new maternity shirts (and some new to me maternity sweaters from a local consignment shop). Now I'm posted on the couch in PJs, wrapped in a blanket catching up on my DVRs. Perfect Saturday night IMO.

I just picked up sushi carry out and I can't wait to eat it! Granted it's all cooked, but it will satisfy the craving. Go for it! It is one of my typical go-to's when DH isn't home.
  • I would have loved sushi tonight but ended up at applebees and had the fajita roll up with shrimp instead of chicken and added sour cream. Totally not what my gurgling tummy wanted thrown down to it. Yikes! Watch out bathroom dwellers! :(
  • DH is out playing a show tonight. I stayed in to relax. Just half heartedly ate some popcorn chicken and fries. Not sure what I'm hungry for but it wasn't that. Maybe ice cream?

Just started watching Peakey Blinders on netflix on the recommendation of a coworker. Not sure if I'm hooked though.

I'll probably take a bath and pamper myself a bit then go to bed early. We party hard up in this hizouse!

@RHoPA1109‌ holy crap that would have scared the hell outta me! Hopefully you'll not be finding shards days later! And good luck finding a replacement. I don't see much mercury glass around anymore. Not the real thing anyway.

  • DF and I put in an application for a manufactured home today and will hopefully be approved for it Monday! We also got some grocery shopping done and are now relaxing and watching Guy's Grocery Games.
  • I just finished working 31 out of the last 39 hours. Working in IT is no fun when shit breaks. I just got home and I'm now relaxing watching football.
  • @snowbigdeal‌ Sounds like a good plan. Idk what to eat yet. I have like no food except for carbs... i really need to get to the grocery store.

What are you knitting? I'm making ornaments. Snow Babies!
  • I need to start crocheting. I have to make a hobby lobby trip. I have a ton of yarn but want something more boy.

I also need to hunt for pinecones. I want to make some ornaments.

I have this tree dilemma every year. I want a nicely decorated tree but I have my childhood ornaments that are sentimental and now dd's. But I want my rustic looking tree. Burlap and cinnamon ornaments and pinecones and bow garland and white lights.

What the fuck is up with this board tonight?!?!? It's like the twilight zone up in here.
Honestly, I "made up" your voice in my head to read this sentence and I giggled. Seriously? Yes, I am weird and awkward.

  • We went over to a friends house that cooked us homemade chicken noodle soup and garlic bread... It hit the spot on this cold evening. Other than that, I did absolutely nothing today... And it was glorious.

I'm not even a big Christmas fan, but that tree sounds beautiful. I'd use this as an excuse for two trees! Hahaha.

I have so many shades of blue and turquoise in my yarn stash, and one huge skein of hot pink. I'm eyeballing it all and at a total loss of what to crochet. Hoping inspiration hits me after our AS in two weeks!

    Can you do two trees?

I probably could. Like get a fake one to put somewhere but only have room for one in our main level which we get real.

I may pack up my ornaments and just use dd' for now.
  • @snowbigdeal‌ yes! They are going to be gifts to my family, trying to restart a family tradition. My great grandmother used to hand make ornaments before she started going blind and got dementia. It's been several years since we got ornaments, so i figured with a baby, that i could try restarting the tradition.

Also, i need to try knitting again. I really wanted a baby blanket and idk anyone who knits either.

@redneckmomma25‌ i wish i knew how to crochet. I also wish i could put up a regular sized tree. But cats don't quite mix with trees...

My husband and I had our first real tree last Christmas. I turned it into a rustic, pinecone, cloth wrapped balls, ribbon laden tree. I did add my 1 childhood ornament that I still have. I know my tree will look much different once this baby of ours has accumulated their yearly ornaments.

I finished my first baby! My back is killing me so i may just eat dinner and watch more tv. But i wanted to share. Now only... idk how many more. Lol
  • We were at two of our best friends' wedding. Seriously these two were absolutely made for each other. So I am exhausted. Wedding had good food, shrimp wrapped in bacon in BBQ sauce, steak with some type of aioli sauce, smoked salmon... Cake was awesome. Later I had was lemon with raspberry filling. Delicious. And it's been like a year since I've danced. (Were swing dancers, how we all met.). Nice to know I've still got it. ;) but boy am I tired.

  • I did it! I ate all the sushi! I actually ate quite a bit of food today. Pretty proud of myself!

H mounted our 80" projector screen on the wall today, so we celebrated by eating ice cream with homemade magic shell and watching How to Train Your Dragon 2. Yeah...I'm just going to pretend that sequel doesn't exist. But the ice cream was good!
