Medela Pump In Style Vs. Lansinoh Signature Pro Breast Pump

So my insurance offers a few breast pumps at no cost to me, and these are the two that I have narrowed it down to. A cousin of mine has used the Medela Pump but likes the Lansinoh products best. Has anyone used either one or both? I have looked at reviews they are both good brands to use. I work and plan to pump at work so I would think that the Lansinoh would be best since I don't have to plug it in anywhere its battery operated. But I would like to see what you guys like?

Re: Medela Pump In Style Vs. Lansinoh Signature Pro Breast Pump

  • I have only had experience with the Medela Instyle double electric pump system, and so far I have really liked it. My system did come with a wall plug plus a battery pack so you wouldn't necessarily need to find a plug. I have never used that feature so I can't speak to how well it works/how long the batteries last, but know that it is available. The Medela is the only brand offered by my work's insurance plan, and all the nursing mother's have had good things to say about it (I am still on Maternity leave, so I haven't tried it at work yet, but I have been using it at home to build a freezer supply). I also like their freezer bags and refrigerator storage system. Sorry I can't compare the two brands for you!

  • The LCs I've spoken too all recommend ameda or medela. (though this was 3-4 years ago.). Maybe you can ask at a breastfeeding class or group?
