February 2015 Moms

You ladies....

You kick ass!

There's been so much going on on our board, both good and bad, and everyone coming together like they have shows how amazing the members of this board are! I love that we can all rally together and fight off the trolls and our mods actually get involved in protecting us and our board. I love it even more that a group of strangers can come together to give our girls struggling something positive to look forward to and give them a boost of encouragement. I'm really happy I found this board!

I love having somewhere I can go to talk about my best and worst parts of pregnancy, whine when I need to about things other people would think are silly (which I'm sure my DH appreciates as well!) and all of the GIFs and memes continue to crack me up!

Sorry if it's cheesy. I'm feeling mushy and appreciative today.

But I think I love you guise. ;;) :x

I'm in Pacific (PS Mountain never gets love, eh? ;) ), so maybe Eastern folks will actually be awake for the day when I'm on my third feeding of the night...

I mean..I basically forgot completely about mountain time.. oops! I'll be central time when DD is born so I'm sure I'll be wishing I could sleep right along side you

  • @AshleySparkle720‌ Ha, I think they're used to being overlooked. My husband grew up in Mountain time and it's INSANE to me that, like, any given TV show could be shown on Pacific time or Central... you didn't know unless you checked the newspaper listings. :-?

  • @crabigator‌ how unfortunate and irritating that would be! I couldn't imagine having to look up tv show times in the paper! It would probably make me more educated about the community though. I can't read a section without reading it all.

  • LOVE!! I feel sooo lucky to have landed on an awesome, supportive, hilarious BMB. Seriously.

I was just thinking how nice it is going to be to have ladies to chat with again during middle of the night feedings like I did with my DD. We will be leaning on each other so much those first few months and I hope this board continues to be just as amazing.  :x
OMG I didn't even think about this -- I'm so excited too!! I remember so many nights in my daughter's first few months where I was nursing her at, like, 3am, staring out the window feeling sooooo alone and desperate (I don't do sleep dep that well :( ). My husband falls back asleep again really quickly after waking up and I wouldn't want to wake him up just to talk to me... but it was so so isolating. Ummm... is it pathetic to demand that you ladies be my 3am friends? ;)
@crabigator I DO NOT do sleep deprivation well either. Chatting in the middle of the night while BFing completely saved me with my first. DH slept in the guest room for a looooong time so I was on my own. But not completely, thanks to the other moms!
