Pregnant after a Loss

For those that had a cyst…or just a ton of pressure in the lower uterus area

When did you know it was time to call the OB and have things looked at? I have a cyst leftover from my letrozole cycle on my left ovary, which they have been keeping an eye on via u/s at all of my appts up to 11w2d (which is measured 2" at that point). At my 12 week appt, they only did a doppler. They said to let them know if I experienced pain, but didn't really go further than that. I'm 12w6d or 13wks today and have had a lot of pressure in my lower uterus today, more towards the left side ever since I had a BM this morning. When I'm walking it seems to be ok, but when I go to sit down or stand up, I notice the pressure most.

Did your just feel like pressure or did you actually start experiencing pain? For either, did they end up doing anything to address it?

TIA! (Of course I understand this warrants a call to my OB on Monday if the pain/pressure persists)

Re: For those that had a cyst…or just a ton of pressure in the lower uterus area

  • I've had lots of cysts, both during pregnancy and not. They cause pressure and dull aching, but never sharp pain. If I had sharp pain, I'd definitely call my doctor. Fortunately this has never happened and it's always just been kept an eye on by ultrasound.

  • I felt some pressure around upper inner rear thigh (left side) this week when I stand, mostly toward the end of the day (mine may be related to a bruise I found in that area). I called my OB's office and they told me not to worry about it and that it was normal during this stage of pregnancy to feel pelvic pressure. They also told me I need to take more sitting breaks.

  • Thank you ladies! Luckily the constant pressure has relieved itself, though I can def still feel some pulling or pressure here and there. No pain, so I'll hold off on calling the OB until I feel something unusual.
