When I had a cold recently, my OB said NO NO NO to Dayquil Cold/Flu, and also to Nyquil. Got nothing more helpful other than that I survived on cough drops, lemon/honey tea, and lots of tissue.
My doctor and the pharmacist said the same thing, that Dayquil is a huge NO NO. However, I was told that Robitussin DM was safe and it really helped my cough over the weekend before I could get an appt and some antibiotics for bronchitis.
I'm also going to second @souptin, your post was just hard to read. You broke google.
Interesting because my OB said "if you need it, take it. If you don't need it, don't take it. " he has said this about everything over the counter and even cortisone injections.
My OB has said any of the Tylenol products are safe, Robitussin DM, and Sudafed. He's pretty low key though. I've been living on Tylenol cold and flu for the last week.
