Hey everyone! I know megbmeg was doing a great job posting this each week and won't be doing it anymore, so I said I'd post if anyone cares to join in. I'll tag the people she was tagging every week, but if anyone wants to be removed from the list just let me know through a PM.
How was your week this week? Are you still fitting in some fitness?
I missed last night and will most likely miss tomorrow because we are having family photos/maternity photos done. But other than that I worked out every day and am still going strong with lifting, Zumba, kickboxing, the stepmill and some running. My groin has been bothering me a bit when doing certain lower body exercises like donkey kicks and cable kickbacks.
QOTW: A somewhat selfish question because I was reading about it and want to know...Are you planning to do any recovery exercises after LO is born?
I was reading about strengthening the core and pelvic floor before jumping right back into other exercises and was wondering if anyone had read anything or was planning to do anything for it? With DD I went right back to running as soon as I was cleared but now I'm wondering if I should focus on recovery this time before jumping back into running/kickboxing/other exercises that involve bouncing and jumping around.
Re: Fit Friday
As far as the recovery workouts, I never really thought about it. I want to get right back into running tho because I do have a half marathon that I'm planning on doing the end of March. So, I might throw in a few squats once I'm feeling up to it to help with the pelvic floor!
Also, thanks for taking over!!
My fitness primarily consists of walking between 4 and 5 miles per day every day and yoga twice a week. The yoga has been helping a lot with my back and SI pain so I'm hoping I can pick it up to 3 times per week.
Not a good week this week. Went for a 45 minute walk on the weekend and then a couple shorter walks during the week. Only made it to the gym for 1 workout. I was home sick yesterday from work and felt nauseous on Wednesday. I have a four day weekend this weekend, so hopefully I can fit some exercise in.
QOTW
Not sure what to do. Plan to ask my doctor about it. I'm hoping to be able to start up swimming again after a few weeks off.
As a FTM I also don't really know what to expect in this department...hmmm...
Regarding postpartum working out, hopefully planning on doing a lot of walking. I live on the bike trail son hopefully we don't have a crappy snowy winter!
