Weeks/Fruit: 25 - Bubz is over a foot long and between 1.5 and 2.5 pounds
Appointments/Rants/Raves: I had my 24 weeks appointment on Tuesday. It was nbd, just a urine sample and talking with the midwife. The baby is so stinking active now, it actually took the midwife three tries to listen to the heartbeat because every time she got it the baby squirmed into a new position.
Also, DH FINALLY felt the baby move last night! He has been trying and trying, and it is really frustrating because a few times I would actually see the top of my stomach fat bounce from a hit and he STILL couldn't feel it. Last night we were cuddling (I think he wanted sexy time but I had already fallen asleep, so we were settling for spooning), and he had his hand on my stomach. After a kick, I sleepily asked "Did you feel that?" fully expecting him to say no. But he said, in a surprised voice, "I thought that was you?" (Like my stomach likes to randomly poke at his hand?)
Finally, this clumsiness thing is really getting annoying. I seriously have to pick up things I have dropped about forty times a day. AND, I broke my toe running into a box in my living room. I tell you what, stubbing a pinky toe is one of the worst experiences in the world.
GTKY - What are you doing this weekend? Visiting DH's family. We want to join our church at home, but it is hard for DH to stop being a member of his parents' church--it was the church he was baptized in, confirmed in, and the church we got married in. We are going to meet with the pastor this weekend to tell him our intentions. MIL doesn't want him to join a new church--my understanding of her logic is a little fuzzy on this, since we live two hours away and attend our church almost every Sunday. Maybe she just doesn't want to let go?
Haha post jinx winter!
24w/ don't know my fruit cause I'm mobile!
R/R: Guys!!! V day tomorow!! I think there are one or two more 2/28ers on here. Bringing up the rear ladies! I'm feeling great!
GTKY: we're flying out to a wedding in a bit and will see my ILs too! I won't see them for the holidays so I'm looking forward to it!
Cantaloupe :-)
ETA: I totally get being excited about V-day. I told my husband, and he just thought it was morbid. But I totally sighed a sigh of relief last week, and every day I feel more and mroe secure.
Winter, DH was all like "what does that mean??" And I tried to explain that statistically chances are a lot higher and they're more inclined to do everything they can to keep you pregnant and etc and he was like ....oh. Well, just take your blasé self somewhere else sir. And thank you for the fruit!!
Appoint/ Rant/ Rave: Had my 24W appointment Mon, nothing to report there, just schedualed my glucose test and an ultrasound (have to have one every six weeks- low PAPP A reading ). Other then that back is killing me, and I cannot sleep at all anymore!
GTKY: Me and husband are driving from NJ to Baltimore to go visit his sister and BIL and our young niece and nephew! We have not seen them in about two months, so looking forward to it!
Appointments/Rants/Raves: My next appt is around thanksgiving. My rant is that I am tired and lazy and therefore don't do much anymore outside of work and bible study. Oh well. My rave is that it's "Friday night and I jus jus jus jus jusssssssst got paid!" - 10 pts to who knows the song/artist.
GTKY - What are you doing this weekend? coffee with a friend tomorrow morning and then catching up on cleaning. I will probably get started on sewing baby's crib bedding to.
Appointments/Rants/Raves: Had my GTT Tuesday - waiting to hear back. Next appt. Dec. 5th is a group info session on labor and delivery. My next personal appt. isn't until Christmas.
GTKY - What are you doing this weekend? unfortunately, traveling to NC to go to a funeral - at least the mat. dress I bought is getting a workout - 2 weddings and a funeral...
Im a rutabaga or something like that this week. 27wks baby!! DH and I are clearing out space this weekend for all the baby gifts we will get from next weeks shower. And then we have dinner date plans down at Ravens Stadium with some friends.
Thats it for me.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Waited a long time, tried a lot of stuff, science made me a mom.
Loss and IF veteran. Current mom of DS 5.5, DD 2, and sometimes DH 40. Due June 2021 with TWINS
Appts/rants/raves: Had a checkup yesterday and everything was great. Have my glucose test next Thursday-my drink is being nice and chilled in the fridge as we speak!
GTKY: Husband has a couple obligations of being Batman and Spiderman for a couple of events. (My best friend started an event company of princess and heroes-located close to Raleigh, NC! He has been playing Spiderman for many events but will be trying his hand as Batman on Saturday for a birthday party). I am hoping to do some cleaning and start cleaning out the spare bedroom to move DD in there over the holidays.
Appointments/Rants/Raves: had an appt. Monday because of pain that would not quit. Apparently the tiny human's head is way far down in a place that doesn't feel awesome. Maternity belt thingy is helping some of the time.
GTKY - What are you doing this weekend? I'd love to say we're working on the future nursery room, but it probably won't happen. Yay procrastination!
Appointments/Rants/Raves: next apt is wed for a check up and I have to schedule my glucose test. I really want to feel my little girl kick. Haven't felt any yet
GTKY - What are you doing this weekend? Tomorrow we are going to the hospital where I'll deliver for a "preparing for childbirth" class. It includes a hospital tour too! Sunday we have a funeral in New York. Not looking forward to that or the fact that we will be running all weekend.
Appointments/Rants/Raves: Well, my appt was supposed to be today, but it was postponed until Tuesday. I will be doing the glucose test then also.
DH said to me last night, "so... is she going to pause growing for a while? I can't believe how big you are already". Um, no babe. She isn't going to PAUSE growing. Children need to grow. SMH.
GTKY - What are you doing this weekend? Going to IKEA to pick out Ella's big girl furniture!! We may try to put up the vinyl decal in the nursery too. Oy, headache! And DH's work friend is coming over for dinner Saturday night.
Appointments/Rants/Raves: Appointment on the 17th, little stinker stops moving every time DH tries to feel him.
GTKY - What are you doing this weekend? Tagging all the things! Dropping of consignment items on Monday and I have been slacking so I need to buckle down after work Saturday and get it done.
Appointments/Rants/Raves: Still more than two weeks until my next appointment. This is my longest gap between appointments as my doctor wasn't available at the normal four week interval, so this time I have to wait five. I feel like it's taking forever!
GTKY - What are you doing this weekend? Nursery furniture gets delivered tomorrow–I'm so excited! My weekend will consist of room organizing, Buckeye football and an oil change. Woo!
Weeks/Fruit: 25!!! Cauliflower. (I thought this was a veggie, who knew?!)
Appointments/Rants/Raves: Had my 24 week appt on Tuesday of this week. Everything went well. I had a minor victory. I am sure it's NBD to most, but I was given the written lab slip for my GD test, and it said the diagnosis was "normal pregnancy." I have had two high risk pregnancies with DS and DD, so I was over the moon happy to see "normal pregnancy." Also, I was cleared to make plans to go to Florida for Christmas to visit DHs family. We are going to drive, just in case something unexpected happens, we don't have to worry about canceling a flight.
GTKY - What are you doing this weekend?
DH returns tonight from a business trip. I have been flying solo this week, and honestly I really miss him. He does a lot, especially in the mornings which help me with getting my own behind out the door for work in the morning. But he called me telling me he has unexpectedly pick up some extra part time work this weekend. So he arrives in Baltimore at 9pm, only to be working for 16 hours straight, beginning at 10pm.
A woman (well girl, really, she's only 18 years old) was in her neighborhood and was sitting in her running car (super safe area) talking on the phone, and a man car jacked her and put a gun to her head. Then he stole her car, which has yet to be found. DH has been hired to provide a police security presence for the family/neighborhood. It is a terrible situation and I am glad that this family is getting the peace of mind, and good night's sleep they need.
I am just a little sad that DH has been gone on business all week, and will virtually be gone all weekend too. I'm just missing him, and being selfish, I realize that. Sorry for venting!
Edit: spelling fail
Our family is growing by two feet and we couldn't be happier!
Weeks/Fruit: 26- head of lettuce Appointments/Rants/Raves: Had my wellness check at school and was happy that my glucose looked good there, but don't have my next OB appt. until 11/19 for my gestational diabetes test! GTKY - What are you doing this weekend? Family time and going out of town tomorrow to go to our friend's son's 1st birthday party
Appointments/Rants/Raves: appt on Tuesday to check my cervix. They are monitoring because I had precenta previa earlier on. They are doing this until 30 weeks.
GTKY - What are you doing this weekend? Baby shower is tomorrow! I'm glad it is not later in my pregnancy. I definitely feel like I'm starting to slow down the closer I get to the third tri.
Appointments/Rants/Raves: I have an appointment on the 12th with my ob. I also have to go in monday to get blood drawn. I keep having these weird muscle spams in my legs at night time. The first time it happened it was so painful I woke up screaming. So they want me to get blood taken to see if I'm low on anything.
GTKY - What are you doing this weekend?Dh is working overtime tomorrow. Tomorrow is my v-day and sunday would have been my due date, its also FIL's birthday.
I'll be home all weekend patching and prepping my living room floor so we can get our vinyl flooring started, hoping to just take my mind off of sunday.
