Hi Ladies, I'm filling in for MrsG today. This is going to be a P&R but I will be back later.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are a group of women striving to live healthier lives, whether that means losing weight, gaining weight, sticking to a specific diet, counting calories, avoiding counting calories, starting to exercise, continuing to exercise or anything in between.
We check in on Mondays and follow up with an accountability on Fridays (our favorite post of the week, because we love encouraging each other and celebrating all our successes!).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So let's hear it - What worked well for you this week? What didn't?

If you're new jump in!

    This week has been pretty bad with food and TONS of alcohol. I thought it would be better but a work dinner threw me off. Sigh. Not looking forward to the scale tomorrow, but there is always next week. I did make it to the gym once and my Cycle Express class kicked my butt! Felt good, I need to work out more next week.

  • I thought I was doing decent this week, but had a rude awakening when I got on the scale this morning  :((

    I did suck really bad with my workouts. I'm sure that played a part. I'm also expecting AF to show her ugly face at any moment. And come to think of it, that tub of cookie dough I bought at Costco last night may have had something to do with it...Wow, I guess I really didn't do very well this week!

    Next week is a new week, don't be too hard on yourself. Sometimes you just need some cookie dough, especially if AF is coming round. You can back on track though!

  • Thanks for filling in @Km380!  I love your Bridget Jones' gif!!!
    @smagglebit It's tough to stay on track when AF is about to show, like Km380 said, next week is a new week.

    AFM, I didn't do great this week since we were at the old house nearly every night painting.  I did step on the scale this morning though and haven't gained, so I'm happy about that.  We should have our old house up on the rental market by Monday, so I'm hoping that life is going to start to return to normal next week!

  • I didn't do well this week.  Sickness hit my household, so sleep deprived and not feeling good meant not the greatest workouts plus skipping Wed all together, and eating more to keep myself moving the first three days this week.  Ugh...I got back on track yesterday and today (so far) so I hope to have a good week next week.

    @km380 - Thanks for filling in!  All you can is chalk it up to a bad week and refocus for next week.  I hope the scale is kind tomorrow.

    @smagglebit - Any week that AF comes doesn't count!  Big ((((HUGS))))

  • @Km380 Thanks for filling in for the check-in. I hear you on the not looking forward to reading the scale this weekend and alcohol this week. Here's to next week.

    @smagglebit AF does mess up the week. All the cookie dough and food goes in the stomach! I hope you get a solid plan for workouts next week in place that works for you.

    @MrsKush1014 No gain, very positive for the week as you described it. It sounds like you were very busy- those are calories burned.

    @rmpar29 Sorry you were not feeling so good. I hope you feel better soon!

    AFM: What worked: I made some veggies with meals this week, including a new way (for me- not so experienced with making veggies) for broccoli. It was yummy. I went to classes at the gym 3 days and kicked butt. I am going for a run tomorrow and hopefully Sunday.

    What didn't work: I had a lot to drink this week (except for last night, which I needed to have no drinks for my sanity). I had way too many snacks in the afternoons. I am sure I am going to pay for that when I see the scale this weekend.

    What I really need to do is come home from work and just change into clothes that will force me to hop on my bike and go for a ride instead of eating snacks (sorrynotsorry run-on to imply the way I say it in my head).

  • Ugh...this week.
    Leftover halloween candy and too much wallowing.  That didn't work at all!  We also still had a lot of party leftovers to get through.
    Last night my husband and I had a conversation about our food choices being poor.
    So today at lunch time he called me for his "lunch-time accountability" to tell me what he had for lunch and I told him what I had.  I think it will be a good thing.
    He also brought leftover cookies and all of the leftover candy with him to work to give to coworkers.
    I think that's a very very good idea!

    @MrsKush1014 Not gaining is good!  FX that life will return to normal next week!!

    @smagglebit Cookie dough, yeah that's pretty hard to say no to!

    @flyoffeve Finding new ways to make veggies is great.  I find changing things up food wise helps me a lot.  Good luck with your running!

    @Km380 Thanks for the check-in today!!  Next week is a new week.  Good job on the workout though!  You'll do better next week.

    I love the idea of "lunch-time accountability." I need to find someone to do that with. MH works with me, and doesn't care as much as I do about losing weight. So if he wants to make a bad lunch choice, I'm usually like, "ok," and go right along with whatever he's doing...argh. I have no self-control.

    No gaining is a victory! Also according to WW house painting qualifies for activity points so spending every night painting is better than sitting on the couch.

  • Hey ladies!

    I did so good with my workouts on Mon, Tues, and Wed. For some reason I'm having a hard time getting that 4th workout in. I did ok food wise but it's Friday.. And I've already started drinking. So... Monday it is again! Lol
    I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

  • So my plans derailed, but that was okay.  I ate great at the beginning of the week, gained a pound, then went way off plan, and ended up losing 2.  So, therefore, I think I shouldn't diet :).  Just kidding, but in reality, I still ate okay, didn't drink too much other than last night (it was brewery take over at a local bar), and I'm okay with that.

    Sounds like a good week to me!

  • Thanks for the check-in!

    I did well tracking my food and exercising Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. My bad will be tomorrow. We are going to a beer, chili, and cheese festival. We'll offset it by walking a lot and eating salads for dinner, but it will still be bad. This is the last festival until March, so we are ok with it. Plus we paid for it two months ago...

    Um can I come!? That sounds fantastic! And I think it's ok to do something like that once in awhile. You gotta live life right

    @km380 Thanks for doing the ckin today lady!

    Well, let's see...I got in my three hour sessions at the gym this week, yay.

    I heart my trainer! She's on vaca this next week so I'm on my own!!  :-SS

    I'll have to schedule around DH's workouts here at home since I'm too weird to go to the gym and do it. I've got everything I need here...weights, mat, bosu ball, stability ball, pull up bar thing and my generic TRX straps. So no excuses to me!

    I get a C- for tracking on MFP this week. I gotta get back on track. My brain has been all wonky this week...then that B AF showed up...Rrr! So, OK, hit reset!

    Screw you AF! Sorry love. Great job in the workouts!!!

    PgAL welcome

  • Thanks for the check-in!

    I did well tracking my food and exercising Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. My bad will be tomorrow. We are going to a beer, chili, and cheese festival. We'll offset it by walking a lot and eating salads for dinner, but it will still be bad. This is the last festival until March, so we are ok with it. Plus we paid for it two months ago...

    =P~ beer, chili, and cheese festival = YUM! =P~
