how early can you schedule c section?

I am on baby number two and will have a scheduled c section this time. I was wondering if you can schedule it around 38 weeks just because my daughter goes to a hospital for her hip disformation and they schedule the appointments and you just have to make them work and her appointment was scheduled when I will be 39 weeks 3 days and I don't want someone taking her to a whole another state without me going to her appointment with her. So help!

Generally doctors will not schedule a RCS for earlier than 39 weeks without a medical need. How far away is it? You could schedule the RCS for after your doctor's hospital appointment.

My OB won't go any earlier than 39 weeks, unless there is a medical need for it to be done earlier. I would talk to you Dr.

Yeah I don't think they will let you go any earlier than 39w. I was trying to get it scheduled for 1 day early just bc it was a Monday and would work better care-wise but they said 39w so we're going Tuesday.

Also, I get the "have to make them work," but i would think this is a pretty extreme circumstance. I would at least try calling them and explaining that you will be over 39 weeks pregnant at that point. Maybe they can move it up a week or two.

I am having my 3rd csection - law in my state says for your 3rd csection you can have it at 38 week, so mine will be at 38 weeks. 2nd csection can not be before 39 weeks.

I would just move it to 40 weeks just worried I'll go into labor while I'm out of state. I traveled a week after having my first child out of state for her doctors so its not impossible to do I was just asking if people had ever had it at 38 weeks.
