6 week ultrasound ....what can I expect?

so, my infertility doctor moved my ultrasound up from next week to tomorrow because I had some very very light spotting this morning. She is thinking it could be caused by the Endomitrium (progesterone suppositories) I'm on but wants to be sure since I'm a High Risk pregnancy.
If you had a 6 week ultrasound could you please tell me what you saw? Did you see a heartbeat?

I thought I was 8wks but my u/s dated me as 7 wks. I saw a little kidney bean and could see the heartbeat fluttering.

How sure are you of your ovulation date? If you are truly exactly 6 weeks along, you may or may not see a heartbeat. If you don't, it's certainly not cause for alarm. 6 weeks is really early.

Also, be prepared for an internal ultrasound (vaginal). That's quite a surprise if you aren't prepared for it! Good luck!

You may or may not see the heartbeat flicker that early, but at our appointment with my RE we saw our baby's heartbeat flicker, no sound yet. They will definitely do a vaginal ultrasound, just a heads up! Good luck.

I didn't do a vaginal u/s. I think it all depends on the clinic.

I was 6 weeks at my appt. Nov 19 and did a second sonogram, heard the heart beat it was like 129 beats. It really was the coolest thing. I was high risk due to PCOS however, he assured me not to worry after I heard the heart beat. Just for my condition it was important so don't be disappointed if you don't hear it! I honestly told myself we wouldn't when I went in there.
