AW: ultrasound and dating question

Had my first ultrasound this morning. There is only one baby in there and everything looks great! We saw a heartbeat of 120bpm and DS was there since we didn't have a baby sitter, so now he knows :)

Dating question -- by LMP my EDD would be June 23 but I know that's wrong. By my FF chart and O date it's July 2. I thought I was 6w1d but baby measured 6w3d (EDD June 30). I know they're close but I'm not sure which one they'll use. I only saw an ultrasound tech today so I didn't get to ask. Thoughts? Can I pretend it's still July 2 and stay here with you guys? :)

Waiting for RE appointment on 10/28/14

    I think you get to straddle the June/July fence on that one. ;) That's just my opinion, because you never know if baby will be on time, early, late, etc. :)

    1. You better stay here. But for a real answer, they fluctuate in size by a few days all the time, so baby may have just had a little growth spurt. I know my "due date" based solely on the measurements changed by a couple of days here and there each time I got a scan.

    Most offices go by the LMP.  They usually won't change the EDD unless measurements show a difference of +- 5 days.  Definitely stay here b/c you never know when you'll deliver. :)

    I agree with everyone else! Due Dates, especially in the first twelve weeks, can change often so it's better to wait until you hit second trimester and you and your doctor settle on your EDD. Either way your always welcome here!!

    I know I O'd on CD 22 so I'm going to tell them my LMP was 8 days later than it actually was (not that 8 days makes THAT much of a difference). ;)

    Right, so I'm looking at a difference of more than 5 days. Just not sure whether to go by my O chart date or the u/s measurement date.
