Hey ladies! The check-in has been pretty slow as we all adjust to our life change but hopefully things will pick up eventually. I'm hoping that maybe by starting this on Friday, we might see more people at the check-in. We miss our ladies. 

 

I've been busy with family this weekend so wasn't able to get around to posting the check-in.  I hope everyone had a great Halloween!

QOTW - I find myself needing to start prepping for the holidays and wanting to find cute, "unique" ideas for food around the table.  Are you a "pinterest" type of person that makes a Turkey our of veggies or do you just throw it on the plate because it isn't goign to look like a Turkey in 5 minutes. :)

    LOs name? Sawyer

    How are you feeling physically/emotionally?  Things have been tough... as I'm sure you've gathered, DH and I have been going through a lot.  He started counseling last week and I'm praying that this will help us work through things.  If not... well... things aren't looking so hot. :( 

    Challenges/Successes? Challenges- I will not underestimate the power of daylight savings time again.  I didn't think it would affect LO as much as it did.  Success-  LO will lift her arms towards me to pick her up now, it melts my heart! 

    Cute/Funny stories?  LO has started the stranger danger phase w/ men... she has started crying when FIL, BIL, or brother have held her.  Even though I feel bad for them, she really has the cutest pout ever.

I'm definitely the "Pinterest" person.  I love putting things together and making them look nice :)

    I'm new here but hope that I could join in :-)

    How old is LO? 4 months 2 weeks

    LOs name? Stella

    How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Ugh. Daylight savings messed up her sleep and she was going thru some ruff path already. Reading "the BOOK" now and planning to start sleep training over the weekend

    Challenges/Successes?Sleep is challenging , success is that I'm being quite positive about it .

    Cute/Funny stories? LO got crazy appetite lately and the other day, as I'm prepping myself to feed her, she grabs the boob, lifts herself up and latches on! Just couldn't wait! Self service:-)

    - I honestly don't know , I used to be creative etc but also we had thanksgiving at my MIL house , this year , for the first time , I'm doing it , and I'm not too crazy about it.

    How old is LO? almost 20 weeks/4 and 1/2 months

    How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Had a terrible cold this week so I've been counting down the hours until I can sleep (aka this weekend)

    Challenges/Successes? Zach is sitting up supported much better, finally taking real naps (at least 1 is an hour or longer a day), and is going into this crib at night mostly awake. We introduced more cereal (twice a day now) and changed his reflux meds and he has improved, it's not great but it is noticeably better. Challenges- He still will not nap in his crib, he will stay there all night but naps don't happen there.

    Cute/Funny stories? We took him out on halloween and he was so happy to reach into buckets and pull out the little candy bars for mommy and daddy.

    QOTW- I have never has to host/bring anything to thanksgiving. For other gatherings I'm more of a "does it look appealing? then it's fine" type.
