Pack N Play or sleeping bag

For those of you that have a child who has climbed out of their cribs, what do you do when you travel?

DS has started climbing out of his crib.  We have turned his crib around for the time being, but I am unsure of what to do when travel.
Any suggestions?

  • DS is in a toddler bed at home but PNPat daycare and any time we travel.

  • DS still uses the PNP when we travel, but he did use a sleeping bag once. He has never tried to climb out of the PNP, I'm not sure if it is harder than the crib.

  • We use an air mattress for DS. He sleeps well in it most of the time. Occasionally he'll end up with us.
  • DD is in a toddler bed now. When she travels, she just sleeps with us in a king bed.
