Mirena users....

I'm going in tomorrow to have the Mirena inserted. I've never had an IUD before so if any of you could share your experience that would be great!

If you were EBF did it effect your supply? Was it really uncomfortable? Etc. thanks!

    Thanks for posting this!! I'm getting one in two weeks and was wondering the same things, I've heard some scary stuff but way more positives so I'm excited/nervous and would love to hear some opinions

    I just got mine implanted on Monday (first time). I just had strong cramping during the implantation and very light cramps afterward. I had to change my pantiliner a few times due to bleeding so you'll probably want to have a pad instead. As of today, I still have a little bit of spotting. I'm EBFing but my OB said it should not affect my supply because it does not include a specific hormone that will interfere.

    Thanks ladies! I had it placed today and it didn't take long. It was definitely uncomfortable. I had a c section and didn't get past 6 cm so the doc said I would have more discomfort than if I had a vaginal birth. All in all it wasn't too bad. I've been bleeding lightly and have cramping. But hopefully it stops soon. But hey I just got 5 years of birth control taken care of!
