My mom offered to let me use the same blessing dress my sisters and I all used for baby girl's blessing. Turns out I actually do really like it and would love to use it (plus, free!). My only issue with it is, it's not quite white anymore. It's only been worn three times ever, but it is also 30 years old and has that dingy-white quality to it.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it whiter? I am hesitant to use bleach, just because it is an older garment and delicate at that - I would hate to ruin it with too harsh of a treatment. From what I can tell, it is all cotton with lace detail on the sleeves and hem.
Re: Getting Whites Whiter
Drycleaning maybe? I brought mine out to my mom because I didn't want to wash it in my city water.
I use bluing on my whites when they are dingy:

But I am not sure what it would do if the item has yellowed...
