January 2015 Moms

Ugh third tri symptoms are starting

I had been feeling pretty good, but now my feet and hands are starting to swell and my lower back and pelvis are hurting. I didn't have these problems until after 34 weeks last time, but I'm only 30 weeks. Boo! I know many people have it harder than me, but darn it I want my shoes and rings to fit!

  • I know what you mean!

The heartburn and no room in my stomach is really kicking in. I puked up dinner last night for the first time since week 11. I was so upset.

    But we're getting closer!!!

  • @MLC1990‌ this sounds just like me. Everything has been very smooth, but now heartburn is kicking my butt and I threw up twice last night for the first time in months. My mood up until this point has been really good, and then I woke up this morning super crabby about nothing particular. Ugh.

  • I'm also in the smooth until 3t boat. I honestly couldn't figure out why people hated pregnancy (except our friends w severe hg). Then it's like I just woke up one day with back pain, rib pain, exhaustion, more teariness/moodiness, swelling, sciatic pain, and general discomfort. Looking forward to the end of January!!!

  • I completely agree! almost 32 weeks and I really can't complain but yesterday I felt like my lil girl was running out of space to move and I just couldn't get comfortable all day. I swear the kicks are so hard sometimes I jump. Always nice when I'm in a meeting with my boss.

Oh and I don't know about you all, but I am SOOOO over going to work. I'm ready to start this leave now! the things/people I couldn't normally tolerate are especially irritating and other than that, I just don't care too much anymore!

Yes! this exactly! I was a little freaked out have a baby with my first so I wanted him in there as long as possible, and it wasn't so bad being pregnant! Now? Ugh. I'm trying not to complain because I have several very good friends who have struggled with infertility so I know that every ache and pain is something they'd love to have... but wow. I am ready for January to come along!

Work is the bane of my existence now. Between a supervisor who treats us like incompetent children to a coworker who tells labor and delivery horror stories all the time, I'm over it. Yesterday I spent 5 min in the bathroom stall just crying while texting my mom. I swear I'm 28 not 8.

  • The swelling has been getting to me lately.  And the past couple days, I wake up every morning with extremely stiff and sore fingers and toes.  The pain is definitely not fun to deal with.

Something I never thought I would say: I miss putting socks on by myself.

Preach it. I can still reach if I have to, but HD makes fun of me and the grunting with effort. Yes, it's hard. Unless you're going to help me, stop commenting.

The only good part is, I tried really hard not to complain in the beginning, even when I felt bad, so I saved up all my complaining time for now.
