I feel like LO is at an awkward stage where she can't sit up by herself but no longer wants to sit in her bouncer or swing. She's content to lay on her activity mat for about 5 minutes but then is all set with that too. She'll sit in her highchair with toys on the tray but within 2-3 minutes the toys are on the floor and she's squirming to get out.
So... What toys do you find them most interested in? What sort of activities do you do with them at home to keep them entertained and occupied?
Re: Activities, Toys, Gear...
He hung out like that for 2 hours the other day. Iccouldn't go too far but it was nice down time for both of us.
I have the FP ring set but she just sort of pushes the rings around and will pick them up and try to put them in her mouth. I was thinking of getting a jumper (the kind that suspends from a doorway). Perhaps we need to take a trip to toys r us...
I'll look into the Baby Einstein videos...
Haha my dog goes nuts when she squeeks it!! LO loved it until we lost it in a restaurant last week
Thoughts on Jolly Jumpers?? I'm going to pick up a used one with a stand tomorrow. I feel like she will like it just not sure if I'm wasting my money.
IF, 5 losses, 1 son, 1 on the way.
Ditto on the dog - LO has recently become intrigued by our chocolate lab. He loves to watch him walk around, chew on a bone, etc. He especially loves it when the dog is playing and makes funny noises (or licks his face....ew). Our dog is really great with the baby (although I know he is jealous) and will sit there patiently while DS "pets" him/grabs his nose/etc. Obviously I would never leave them alone together just in case, but our dog seems very protective and tolerant of E. We spend a lot of time sitting with the dog and watching/petting him.
