How is everyone? SO SORRY I've been MIA. I hope everyone is doing well!
We are settling in and getting to know eachother. Claire is very chill and sleeps A LOT. We have to wake her up to eat most nights, but once she gets eating, she's a happy girl.
Breastfeeding has been a big struggle. Since she was in the NICU for 5 days she was bottle fed and isn't really interested in my breasts (What ails you, kid? My boobs are AWESOME!) I've been pumping and we're giving her primarily breastmilk but every now and then we supplement with formula. I'm getting pretty burned out on pumping so we are going to talk to the pedi about our options today. I'm wondering if maybe I can scale back on pumping to fewer times/day so she still gets some BM but mommy doesn't feel like she's constantly being suction cupped.
She's already on her second set of casts for her clubfeet and is tolerating them like a champ. It's been tough on me, I feel a lot of guilt or like I did something wrong while she was in my belly. But the doctor's assure me that sometimes these things just happen and since her daddy was born with a clubfoot, she was already at a higher likelihood. I just don't want people to treat her any differently or look at her funny or anything like that.
Anyway, i'm going to try really hard to catch up. I feel like a bump bum for not being around the past couple of weeks but we've just been enjoying getting to know eachother. I miss you all!

I'm sorry BFing isn't going as well as you hoped, but at least the little lady is getting enough food! I hope the pediatrician has some good advice for you!

Don't apologize! Love on that baby all you can!! She is so freaking adorable! I expect myself to be MIA for a bit once LO gets here, he will be my #1 priority! I am sure we'll all come back around once we get settled in and find a routine.
