Just in case my water breaks while I'm in it. He doesn't like the idea of "baby pee" seeping into our mattress. And not only our mattress, but also trash bags in his car "just in case."
Every time he starts in with this I can't help but LMAO. He wants to know if anyone else agrees with him or is doing this. TIA!
Re: DH wants a pee cover for our bed
Did this with my first and plan on doing this again--Wal-Mart sells them for pretty cheap. I just put our mattress pad on top, so as to not hear the vinyl rubbing--which is sooooo annoying.
It will be cheaper than buying a new mattress in the end, if your water does break overnight....
Good luck!

With DS, they broke my water at the hospital, but it was more like a steady stream. But I do mean stream, not a steady trickle. It was "heavy flow" for about 20-30 seconds. After that a trickle would come out whenever I changed positions since I was laying down for the initial "blast".
My water never broke with DD (and never would have without help), so I hadn't thought about it much....Hrm...
Still seems a little strange though. BUT, if the mattress cover gives him a warm fuzzy, go for tt.
With DD I definitely had one of those mattress protectors on the bed, just in case. My water did break, but it was as I was bending down to feed the dog. It was like peeing your pants except you couldn't control the flow. It kept coming out so I ran to the toilet.
We have one for ours. I have been told that you're most likely to break your water in the early morning and I didn't want to risk ruining my mattress. It's really squeaky and annoying though!
