This is like the only piece of me that is still just mine. My wristlet. I take it to work when I have a pocketbook and no diaper bag. I throw it in the diaper bag when we're going out. I keep way too many receipts in it, lipgloss, eyeliner, my debit card and IDs.
ETA: I'm at work so I'm limited to what I have with me or what I have picture of.
Love my Nikon!! It's easy to learn to take great pics for yourself. Mine has paid for itself by doing pics for my friends and family. I want to get a upgrade soon!
My car! It is 2 years old and I still love it. I feel so grown up with it and I love all the extra stuff it has. Plus I know it will keep my family safe. Also it's the one place I can usually get alone time (when I'm driving to get DS).
@trackgirlparis it is! We love our car and H is a huge car guy so he knew everything about it before we bought it. You can't beat the safety on it! What color did you get?

Silver! We love it. So much room for kids and DH and I are tall so it fits us well.
I don't have a lot of pretty things in my house. This "painting" is a souvenir I brought back from China. It is tissue paper, hand cut and painted. It took the woman over 30 days to make this. It is so fragile, I wasn't able to look at it for over 2 years because I was afraid to take it out of its roll. Finally, when I had enough money to mount it and frame it properly, I did. It turned out beautifully, and my hope is that it will be a family heirloom.
First picture is in the frame. Second is to show the detail. Anything that is white is actually the back matting. The color is all ONE piece of tissue paper, and the details are razor cutout along the edges.
This pin was given to me on my 10th birthday, by my grandpa, whom I was extremely close to. He had bought it for my grandma when they were dating but they agreed to pass it down to me. My grandpa was very ill at the time and when they gave it to me, he asked me to do him one favor: to wear it on my wedding day, since he knew he wouldn't be there. It's the most important physical possession I have.
@huntjul, you are a lovely rider. I can't imagine how excited you must be to see your 4-legged baby again!
Thanks @sleepy33 - I've missed her a lot. I know I'll need to put in some work to get her back to the level of training she was before, but I look forward to it. My barn and riding time was always stress relief and an escape from the daily grind, and I need that now more than ever.

"There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man."
@Flutterby00 that's beautiful. I'd be afraid to breath on it.
@trackgirlparis that is so sweet and I love the location you chose to wear it.
For me it's my kindle. I miss being able to escape into a book all the time. Maybe when DS is a little older and I can take my eyes off of him for more than 4 seconds.
I received a nexus for Christmas last year or the year before and it has reader capabilities. I have yet to be able to read anything on it.
In between fences on a jumping course on my horse.
We get reunited in a few weeks!
@huntjul This makes me so sad that I sold my mare
(
@chrisanna0508 sorry you're sad. I almost sold this mare when we moved, but the deal fell through. Then I changed my mind about selling her and leased her out instead.
@huntjul It was the right decision to sell since we have moved all over the place. We are about to move for a permanent home however and I am hoping to get another horse when the time is right. DH is under the impression we will never own a horse again. Whatever helps him sleep at night, but not happening. Hah!
I had a hard time with this. One of my cats was a graduation gift from my dad and she's the last thing I have from him, so I'm going to have a tough time when she is gone (hopefully not anytime soon). But I can't say she's my favorite of my pets, so I chose this:
This is a wood carving by a local artist (originally from Iran I believe) and I love everything he does; he is incredibly talented. This one technically isn't even mine (it was DS's Christmas gift last year) but it is my favorite in the house right now. The artist sells at the local Christmas market every year and every year we buy something from him. We currently have two bird ones, a family of chickens, and this penguin one. I have bought my mom, MIL, and SIL his works too. This year I think I'm going to get a family of polar bears.
In case anyone wants to look at his more impressive stuff, he has a fb page; just search Daryoush Ababaf.
@pinkdahlia44 omg. that really scared me. i read that your cat was your favorite thing, and then i saw the photo before i read the words below it, and i thought that was a skinned/flattened version of your cat. i wanted to cry and vomit simultaneously. i'm glad that's wood.
