FF Moms....have you had a period yet?

This has probably been asked, so I apologize in advance.  I keep seeing this question asked of the EP and EBF moms, but I have not seen it discussed among those of us FF moms.  Nursing never went well for us.  I had extremely low supply issues and had to supplement from the start. It has probably been a month since LO last nursed or I pumped. We'd like to start TTC. I am AMA and had major fertility issues before we got a surprise BFP with LO. I just have to wonder when my cycle will return.  What have your experiences been?

    Sorry Snuff.  That sucks! @kaycemarie it sounds like you and I were playing the same BF/pumping/FFing game.

    I have been exclusive FF since day 1 and have been getting periods every 2 weeks since late August, despite being on BC. FML!

    Started exclusively ff in August, had periods in Sept, Oct, and am on my Nov. If anything I'm more regular now than I've ever been. They suck.

    Married DH 7/30/11

    CSC arrived 5/7/12 

    CHC arrived 6/2/14

    I EBF/FF, got my first PP period at 5 months. Maybe try asking June '13 too? Or is there a formula feeding board? (<--- doesn't get out of J14 much obviously :) )

    I got my first in Aug and sept i had 2. And since then they have been super heavy and lasting 2 weeks. Sucks.

    I didn't get a period until 15.5 weeks PP.  My doctor said that she likes to see them by 12 weeks PP and I called her about 13 weeks saying that it was no where in sight.  I had stopped any pumping or bf'ing at 10 weeks and because of that fact, she wanted me to wait until I was 6 weeks out from that.  She said they would prescribe me a pill to get it started.  Thankfully, I didn't have to deal with that.  I've had 2 so far and they weren't awful... I think I was anticipating much worse.  I will say, that I've always had heavy periods though.

    I've been EFF for 4 weeks now and still no signs of my period. But I am also infertile with irregular cycles so I don't know what to expect.

     

    IF, 5 losses, 1 son, 1 on the way.

    This exactly for me.  Now they are regular but less cramping than I've had in the past.  I initially tried NuvaRing but got horrible headaches so no BC at all for me since September with no change in duration/flow of cycle since.

    Thanks for the feedback, ladies.  I think I'll give it a few more weeks of EFF, but if AF is still a no show, I'll be giving my OB a call.

    I have been EFF since LO was 6 weeks old (supply issues here, too. We BF/supplemented for the first 6 weeks before finally calling it quits). Got my first PP period around that time (6 weeks pp) and got them every 2 weeks since, up until this past month where it skipped a couple weeks and I nearly had a heart attack and was about to POAS but thankfully, it seems like my body is just finally regulating itself. :) I have been on BC since 6 weeks PP as well.

    We've exclusively FF since about 2 months & I got my 1st period in September. It was super heavy & awful. On 2nd one now & it's not quite as bad but still heavier than before I was pregnant.
