Ugh! Personal waiting room bitchfest >:(

At OB for 3 hour GD test, and the tv is tuned to a Thanksgiving themed cooking show. Watching juicy turkey, fluffy, buttery mashed potatoes, sautéing Brussels sprouts, and I have not eaten a thing since ~10 PM last night. I want to die. That plus there is a gigantic woman yelling into her phone next to me about every damn thing. Stuck here for the next 2.5 hours. Send help...

    Oh jeez! That sounds awful. Do you have headphones you can put on? Maybe you can run out and buy a magazine to distract you??

    No headphones :( I'm working from my ipad today, so at least I have work to distract me. That plus the bump!

    Ugh, that sounds like torture.
    I had a regular appointment today, and there was a woman in the waiting room who couldn't stop coughing. It annoyed me because there is a giant sign above a box of masks that says to wear one if you're sick. She did not, obviously. Then, after like 10 minutes, she walked up to the receptionist and informed her that she'd never gotten the blood work done that had been ordered at her last appointment. The receptionist told her that the doctor probably wouldn't be able to do much for her today since she was supposed to be having a follow-up visit to discuss the results. She seemed annoyed, haha.

    Just found out they had me re-do the 1 hour test by accident, instead of the 3 hour. My doctor was pissed when the nurse told her. Hopefully the 1 hour will come back fine this time, I don't want to come in again. At least I can leave earlier than I thought and get something to eat. Also apparently it's bad to fast before the 1 hour, since your liver starts producing sugar on its own. I wish someone had told me that the first time- maybe that's why I was slightly high. Ugh in the worst mood, so hungry :(:(

    That really blows. I hope your test comes back clear this time. I just had to wait for an ultrasound, which I had to go to a different dept for that I'm used to. This new place has a shared waiting room with other departments so I spent my time trying to figure out who belonged to which area. The choices were: Breast Health Centre (ultrasound/mammo/bone scans), Maternal Fetal Medicine, Maternal Newborn Care, and Diabetes Care.
    Other than a too loud TV blasting out an awful screechy panel of ladies (Canadian version of the view), and a wayyyy over-perfumed man walking a toddler around and leering at every woman in the room (Uhhh, we're already pregnant you creep, and presumably you are waiting on your pregnant partner) it was ok.
