Itchy

do any of you ladies have recommendations for relieving itchy skin? The last couple days I've been so itchy and I must scratch more than I realize because my skin is bright red in those spots.. My dr said its just hormones and just keep your skin moisturized.. Have any of you experienced this? It's so annoying!!!!

Re: Itchy

  • I've started using a bio oil , I get really itchy nipples, back , arms and sides so Using the bio oil is starting to really help
  • I've actually been using bath and body works body cream and it works amazing! They recently changed the formula so it moisturizers for 24 hours and it contains everything that would be found in "stretch mark cream". But it smells so much better :)
  • I posted a while back about being itchy. Hasn't gone away :-w (Scratch, scratch.....scratttttccccccchhhh) with winter coming I don't expect it to get better. Hang in there!
  • My son has excema that gets really bad in the winter and I have only found 2 things that help...Eucerin skin calming lotion and Aveeno Baby.
  • I second coconut oil! It was instant itch relief for me!

  • May be a stupid question but how do you use coconut oil? I used it for a sunburn this summer... Like a holy shit sunburn... Anyway ended up ruining one of my dresses (now a cover up). It just got everywhere. Suggestions?

  • thanks guys!! I'll grab some coconut oil today... I use raw cocoa butter every night (they "say" it helps prevent stretch marks so its worth a shot) but it doesnt absorb into your skin.

The kind I get is solid at room temp. I get out of the shower, barely pat dry, get a scoop in my hands and rub them together to melt the oil. Then I rub it all over. It won't absorb right away, but I just continue with my post shower routine, and by the time you are ready to put clothes on it isn't oily anymore. Don't put it on dry/unwet skin, or you'll be left with a greasy mess.
  • My mom just bought me the Mustela Boob and belly creams and they help. A friend of hers recommended it for me...
