What do you call this very important, very delicious food?

I call it all stuffing. DH's family makes two different types on holidays, they call one stuffing and the other dressing. Neither one gets stuffed into a turkey so I have no idea how they differentiate it.

Also, I need to say that love Stove Top Stuffing. It's delicious!! Not on holidays though..

Last year we had stovetop, which I agree is delicious. But there was only one box made for 8 people. It was not enough stuffing.

WHAT?!? That is definitely not enough. I could eat a whole box by myself. I'd legit be pissed if I had to split my Stove Top between that many people.

I have an excellent stuffing recipe that I make for Thanksgiving. The only thing I don't like is sausage in my stuffing because that doesn't make any sense.

Right? Pregnant me was not happy. I complained about it to h so much that he offered to source me some stuffing on the way back to the hotel.

Reading this thread has made my mouth water. We are now having chicken and stuffing for dinner.

I love stuffing. All kinds. I don't discriminate. Although, I've never had stuffing with sausage. Is it italian sausage or isn't breakfast sausage? I'm so intrigued!

True, but the stovetop which is outside the bird "dresses up" the presentation... personally, I just call it all StoveTop because well that's the only one that I make.

Well well well. Why am I not surprised that we have very strong opinions about this?

It's stuffing, NOT dressing, and it must contain sausage. It also must be accompanied by cranberry sauce from a can, so you can do little fork dips.

Dressing = nasty ass cornbread mush.

Also, while watching Diners, Drive-ins and Dives once, there's a restaurant in Syracuse NY that does stuffing waffles that I recreated one year-holy awesome! (Top w/ turkey, potatoes and gravy and you have a mini thanksgiving dinner any time of the year).

I wonder if I could talk h into going to Syracuse this weekend...
