Breastfeeding moms??

My doctor told me,"if you're breastfeeding, then you might not get a period!" Im not worried about getting one but I bled the last 3 days of October and now I think I've started my official period. Should I be worried? Or is this normal where I start and stop bleeding? (Not saying you all should know my menstral cycle or how my vagina works lol) just asking if anyone has similar problems??

    No you shouldn't be worried. You were going to get your period sooner or later but I would make sure to use birth control if you don't want to be KU again. I'm also exclusively breastfeeding and think I got my period at 6 weeks pp. I'm 8 weeks now and it just stopped and it would go back and forth from heavy to light. I'll just wait and see next month if I get one again or if it was maybe just late postpartum bleeding.

    I BF as well. I had a random day of bleeding in mid October but nothing since. I get cramps from time to time also. I wouldn't worry about it. I've heard it's not regular if you do get it. Either way, call the doctor to put your mind at ease.

    I wouldn't worry, you might not get a period till you wean but I've heard of lots of women who get their periods back at 6-8 weeks. You know your body so if it seems like something more then call your doctor but if not you might just be one of the unlucky ones who gets their period back early.

    I had some extra bleeding At 6 week PP and thought it was my period bc I had some cramps with it. But I started my birth control last week and i spotted for a few days after starting it but now I've started, I'm 8 weeks PP.

    I EBF and got mine at 8 weeks pp.

    TTC #1 Since October 2012
    DX PCOS May 2013
    Clomid 50-150mg- No Response
    Moved to RE October 2013
    Nov. 2013: IUI #1 Letrozole + Ovidrel = BFN
    Dec. 2013: IUI #2 Letrozole + Ovidrel= BFP on 1/8/2014 !! EDD 9/17/2014
    Beta #1 (12 dpo): HCG 27, Progesterone 15 (starting on supplements)
    Beta #2 (15 dpo): HCG 297, Progesterone 29
    Beta #3 (17 dpo): HCG 667, Progesterone 34
    1st Ultrasound 1/28 (6 weeks + 1) Baby measuring exactly as it should, HB 118!
    2nd Ultrasound 2/5 Baby measuring 7w4d, HB 133. Everything looks perfect!
    3rd Ultrasound 4/29 (A/S) Our Baby BOY is measuring perfectly and everything looked great! HB160
    Diagnosed with Pre-E at 36 weeks, placed on bed rest, induction schedule for 37 weeks.

    Everyone is different. Some women don't start AF while breastfeeding but some do. Both are normal. But always call your doc if you are concerned.
    BFP #1 7/23/12: EDD 4/1/13.  MMC discovered on 9/4/12 @ 10w1d
    BFP# 2 3/9/13:  EDD 11/12/13 m/c 3/15/13 @ 5w3d
    RPL testing shows one copy of MTHFR gene mutation. 
     BFP#3 12/24/13: EDD 9/5/14 Beta #1 13 DPO 168! Beta #2 16 DPO 895!
     First US 1/9/14 @ 5w6d Strong HB!
    2nd US 1/23/14 @ 7w6d baby is still doing great! 3rd US 1/31/14  9w0d: Beautiful wiggly baby! Keep growing baby!
    3/17/14 US @ 15w3d:Its a BOY!

    What everyone else said. I got mine at 3 months pp last time but I was EPing. But i have a friend who ep and is now ebfing after 4 months of pumping (he's 6 months now) and still hasnt gotten her af yet. This time I'm ebfing so I'm hoping af stays away till I wean.

    My period was exactly the same as yours. Thank goodness someone else's is like that
