Comparing your due date to your Mom's

As my due date is getting closer I'm getting really excited, but I'm trying not to focus on the EDD too much with the possibility of being late. My midwives always ask how late my Mom was with me, and she was exactly 2 weeks late, so they have said it may be that I could be that late too.
My question to all of you STM's or new Mama's: was your baby born early or late like your Mom's birth was to you? Or totally different?
How accurate is comparing your Mom's birth to yours?

My mom was 1-2 weeks late with me, I was 2 days early with DD1.

I have a family history of overdue babies. My mom was 2 weeks late with my oldest brother and one week late with #2. (I am the third and final and I was a scheduled C-section). My grandmother (mom's mom) also had a few overdue babies - I don't know the details except I remember my grandma saying that her kids were never on time and my uncle was like 3-4 weeks late (they allowed women to go much longer back then).

When I got pregnant I did some Google research to see how much family history impacts the arrival of baby. I found an article that said there is a familial pattern with overdue babies but there are several other components that impact when babies arrive. There doesn't appear to be a pattern with premature babies.

My mom: I was due 1/25, born 12/15
Baby bro was due 7/4, born 5/19

Me: DS was due 5/2, born 4/29
DS due 11/23, born sometime soon?

My mom was 3 days early with both me and my sister. I was induced on my due date (low amniotic fluid levels) with DD. My MIL keeps bringing up that my H came 3 weeks early, which I think probably gives as much information about when I'll give birth to DS as when my mom gave birth to me!

FWIW, my pregnancies have both been way different than my mother's as well. So I take all of this "family history" stuff with a huge grain of salt.

I was 13 days late and my mom got induced............I blame it on due date inaccuracy though!! They didn't have ultrasounds for every pregnancy back then. My mom had 4 kids and only 1 ultrasound for one of us. (not me)

I was supposedly due near Thanksgiving and was born 12/30. I told my doctor this and he said that measurements weren't as accurate back then. Hope so!

My mom can't even remember my due date or its proximity to my actual birthday. I'm an only child! So I should go into labor "somewhere around" my due date... 8-| Thanks, Mom.

I was 10 days early, my brother was 2 weeks early. Here I am at 40+2 with no baby yet.

I was due on 8/29 and born on 9/5

My mom was a week late with all of her kids. (4 girls). I was a week and one day late with my son. We will see with this girl.

My mom had all 4 of us 4-5 weeks late!!!!
I was induced at 39 weeks with DS and was dilated to a 3.
My sister had both of her kids at 37 weeks.

I have no idea...I would have been miserable!
That was also about 30 years ago and her dr just told her she happened to carry all of her babies 4-5 weeks late. Also, she had super fast labors and her water always would break on its own- longest 6 hours (her 1st) shortest (35 min) me:)

My mom couldn't remember early or late for any of us. She does know we were all born on a Sunday, so she's sticking with that for me :-)

I was a month early, but my mom was also nearly 40 when she had me. My sister (who she gave birth to when she was 18) was two weeks late.

I have twins and won't be going to full term so it's pretty difficult to compare, but I'm already past 36 weeks with them and have absolutely no signs of labor. I'm pretty sure these two would go to 40 weeks if doctor let them.
