EBFer trying to introduce formula

For the past four months, DD has been EBF. I work full time so I pump while at work and she takes bottles from DH/sitter/Grandma. We have never had an issue with her taking any bottle. If there's liquid gold in it, she'll suck away!

There have been a few instances where I've been short a few oz so we've tried formula. She wants NOTHING to do with it. She won't drink it straight up, mixed with BM, super thinned out, NOTHING. It would be nice to know that she'd take formula on the days I just can't produce enough. Any tips from you ladies?

    FTR, I had a small stash however our first sitter thought that DD needed to be constantly eating. Also DD loves the boobs so much that when I get home from work she wants to be attached to me most of the night.

    Can you add another pumping session in the evening before you go to bed to pick up those missing oz? That's what I did with DS when I was a bit short and it worked fine. Supplementing with formula can be bad for your supply (not knocking supplementing with formula in general, but if you start, it can be a slippery slope regarding keeping your supply up).

    Unfortunately she's attached to me as soon as I get home. I have tried adding a session but I barely get an oz after shes had her feeding frenzy with me. I'd still pump the same times as I do now. I'm just looking for ease of mind when I come up a few oz short

    DS is EBF, but a couple of weeks ago we introduced some formula to him. The first time we tried it he flat out refused it. So we tried a different formula and he took that one. Maybe you could try a different formula, if you've only tried one, until you find one that's ok with her. Now he gets about a bottle of formula a week, and does fine with it.

    We have had good luck with the gerber soothe gentle, it was recomended by our pediatrition. We give the twins one or day or so to subliment.

    I'm having a similar problem. It was recently discovered that my supply is not enough. The pediatrician wants me to breastfeed as I am but then offer a bottle of formula after every other feed. She won't take it (and I'm pretty sure it's not because she's full). I would like to keep latching her to the boob so I am hesitant to skip a breastfeeding session all together. But I know she needs more. We've tried enfamil and similac, both which we're recommended by our pediatrician.
