I know there's been a few discussions related to push presents, but I was wondering if anyone is planning on surprising their SO with a gift before or after the birth. I've been trying to think of something cute to do for H because this is our first. He has been so supportive and amazing. I know that he is nervous about this experience as a whole and worries how he will be as a dad. I want him to know how much I appreciate him especially when most of the focus will be on baby and me.
Any suggestions for a nice/simple "congrats you're a dad" gifts for the birth (or even Christmas since many of us are due around that time)?
Re: SO gifts
That being said, I did splurge and get him a large gift for Christmas the next year (we usually do small gifts for one another). And about that time he was okay with getting alone time with a new gaming console.
@MusicFanatic That will be amazing! I give you so much credit for what you have to go through by not being at home for so long.

And then got him a coffee mug from the hospital gift shop that said "Awesome dad" or something like that.
He's SOL on the BJs though.
Just writing that sounds so unlike me since I'm not usually looking for ideas like this. But I swear, being pregnant makes me feel like I did at the beginning of our relationship, all head over heels, I-wanna-do-cutesy-things. This phase is kind of throwing me for a loop.
