The Joy of Crinone

Good morning 3T!

I need a little piece of advice.

I'm only on day 2 of Crinone and I already have a lot residue. Anyone have dealt with that? Any tips?

Also - When I removed what seemed like a blockage (no kidding, I was half-peeing this morning), there was a lot of red blood. I feel very disapointed with Progesterone so far since Baby Aspirin worked like a charm (without the nasty side effects) last month.

    Hahaha I love this so much.  I use the suppositories and I hate them with a passion. I'm thinking about asking for the PIO next cycle.

    Endometrin.  I had to wear a pad for my whole TWW.  By the time the gritty discharge lets up, it's time for the next dose.  We didn't have sex once during the whole two weeks.  I will be finding a way around that this cycle!

    Crinone is the worst :( 

    Last cycle when I would clean it out each day, I sometimes bled.  My RE's nurse told me to just keep up with it and try not to worry, since there are so many factors of what could be causing the bleeding - the applicator, the finger swipe, or even just the medication itself causing the cervix to freak.

    Amen! Crinone sucks! I also have to wear a pad the entire 2weeks when I'm on it. Such an uncomfortable process for sure. Def lowers the sex drive lol

    I'm not looking forward to starting this.  And I'm not sure if this is the norm, but if I get a BFP, I'm on it until I'm 10w.

    Are you still on it this month?
    Yup, 4 days in. No bleeding yet this time.

    I have to take this with the PIO injections. Wtf? Why do I feel like I am on the highest dose of everything?

    This is my first cycle with the Prometrium supps... I hate them its like I am leaking glue its so sticky and gets all over (even if I insert over an hour before getting up.) Totally sucks and they make me cramp a lot. Always after about 30 min. Le Sigh fun IF drugs

    It's not something I've experienced, but I've heard that sometimes the crinone makes you spot a little because it irritates your cervix.

    DX: 3/2014 Prolactinoma/Hyperprolactinemia- Started cabergoline 2/2014
    5/2014 Possible mild PCOS in addition to hyperprolactinemia??
    7/2014 Adding probable tubal factor to the diagnosis list
    9/2014 And now adding hypothyroid to the list- Started synthroid 9/2014
    Cycles 1-4 - Sept.-March- All Anovulatory 
    IUI #1 March/April-  Clomid 50mg + Clomid 100mg +Trigger + IUI #1 = BFN
     IUI #2 April/May-Clomid 100mg + Clomid 150mg + Trigger + IUI #2 + Endometrin=BFN
    IUI #3- June- Follistim 75iu + Trigger + IUI #3  Benched due to a 40 mm cyst. :-(
    IUI #3- July- Follistim 75iu + Trigger + IUI #3 + Endometrin = BFP! on 7/25/14
    Slowly rising betas - Ectopic suspected on 8/8/14 & confirmed on 8/11/14
    Methotrexate on 8/12/14 -HCG negative on 9/2/14
    IVF #1- November- Antagonist protocol: 11/1: start stims, 200iu of Follistim; 11/12 ER 17R/14M/14F; 11/17 5 day transfer of two blasts, 2 blasts and 2 expanding morulas frozen; 11/22 BFP!! (On FRER at 5dp5dt)
    Betas: 9dp5dt 205, 11dp5dt 497, 14dp5dt 1,709
    u/s at 5w0d- 1 sac; u/s at 6w0d 1 baby with heartbeat, another sac without a heartbeat

    I got insomnia while taking Femara! I was so not ready for this side effect ... And now Crinone is giving me acid reflux.

    oh em gee!!!  I have SEVERE insomnia on Crinone and when I told the nurses, they looked at me like I was crazy.  This is rare apparently?  I feel so validated hearing others experience this.  I start having trouble sleeping almost immediately when I start it - by 3 days in I am only sleeping about 3 hours a night.  They switched my nighttime dose to a different kind of suppository, and that not only helped the insomnia, but I also had better lining thickness results.

    I was on this and agree with all of the above. Despite a good "clean out" every night in the shower it was still messy messy.

    @Ann612‌ I had the opposite if insomnia. I could barely drag myself out of bed. All I wanted to do was sleep!

    And the spotting. Pretty much all around disgusting.

    5/2014 started testing with RE, me:  HSG normal, normal AMH, no cysts; DH: great sperm
    Unexplained IF + unexplained anovulation (post-pill vs hypothalamic)

    7/2014 Clomid (monitored) + TI: BFN
    8/2014 Clomid (monitored) + TI: BFP #1: 9/12/2014, EDD 5/22/2015, MMC 10/11/2014 8w1d
    11/2014 Clomid + Novarel + IUI 12/5/14: BFFN
    12/2014 Comid + Novarel + IUI 1/3/15: ???
