I know we've talked diaper bags, but the ones that keep coming up are out of my price range. Anyone have a good recommendation for something ~$50 or less?
I got a free one from the hospital filled with Enfamil goodies, and used it a lot because it was vinyl and easy to clean. For a cuter one, I got a Bumble Bag from a baby convention for $40 when I was pregnant with DD. And just last week, I got a Vera Bradley bag online for $44. Try Ebay...and see if there are any baby/kids consignment sales in your area.
I bought a Skip Hop bag at Winners (Canadian TJ MAXX/Marshalls), they had loads of good ones there. I paid $35, and the online listing was double that.
Burlington, Marshalls, TJ Maxx are all good options - but it does take a little luck.
I also saw some on sale at Toys R Us for $19.99 - they looked pretty good!
Check out discount stores like Ross, marshall's TJ Maxx, Tuesday Morning, etc. You can usually find a decent quality one for $15-$30. That's where I found my past few. If you don't abuse your bag, it should last a couple years or until you get tired of it. I tortured mine and ended up having to buy about one a year.
I never used a diaper bag. Just bags I already had. I'm on my 3rd and don't plan on getting a diaper bag for this one either. (I'm picky about bags though. I don't like most of them)
I bought a kalencom one second-hand for $20, so I'm pretty excited about that! Check out consignment shops or thrift stores, most towns have the "for sale/wanted" pages on Facebook too!
I got a Vera Bradley "Get Carried Away" bag on Amazon for $70. I got lucky- the day after I ordered it, it went from $70 to $92. We didn't find any actual diaper bags we liked, so just a big bag is what we decided on.
I used just a big purse with DS and then put organizing things in it. Like little bags kinda. It worked. This time I bought a real diaper bag cause I'll be using it for a 16 month old and a newborn and I want to keep things separate.
We got this one from BRU with a 20% off coupon ($49 before coupon). My husband is going to be a stay at home dad 3 days/week and he wanted something more messenger bag like.
I have quite a few diaper bags. My favorite is a backpack.
