Hello F15. Fairly new here. I lurk here and there, and commented a few times. But tonight I need some reassurance.
Due Feb 9th with a baby girl. Had my midway sonogram Sept 29. And everything came back good. My OBGYN appt a few days later, said they wanted to do it again, to make sure she's growing right. Reason being, they had two different due dates. Their error, never updated. So fine, last Monday I went in, doc says she's measuring great. Right where she needs to be. Her head and thigh are right on the average line, and her tummy is slightly above. Which he said is fine and joked she loves her grub. Went to OBGYN a few days after and midwife said she's growing perfectly and my due date is still Feb 9th. Now today, that same Midwife calls and tells me they want to do yet another scan, because her head measurements seem a little small. Her personal opinion, she thinks it's another error, baby is in 62nd percentile and growing great. But to be safe, schedule another test in 4 weeks.
Should I not worry since they've made mistakes before? And not worry since they're ok with waiting 4 wks to test again? This hospital isn't my favorite to begin with. And hubby isn't worried. But regardless, how can I not worry? Has anyone ever had a similar, or is having a similar situation? Thanks ladies

. And sorry this is so long.

@marblesparade I def. believe it abt an Army hospital. My sister was non-stop throwing up they kept her waiting for 3hrs bf she just left. She was never called back.
I agree w/ previous posts.. their mistakes are annoying, but I wouldn't worry. I had a gf who told me at 32 weeks one of her twins' brains was measuring small. Now she has two beautiful boys who are perfect!

I searched my results online through my insurance's website, and the doc put "findings consistent with dolichocephaly". Which is a long and narrow head. They didn't mention it to me. And of course I called OBGYN and got no answer. I'm just so worried
Yea the midwife didn't seem too worried. I finally got through to reach her and I'm waiting for her to call me back. Baby girl is so active. Jabbing at my ribs this morning. It aches me to think anything could be wrong. Thanks ladies! I'll be back to update for sure!
No provider should change your due date based on ultrasounds after 12 weeks. The measurements can be "off" by up to 10-14 days based on operator differences and the overall inaccuracy of measuring the abdomen or the femur for dating as opposed to the way babies are dated in the first trimester (crown-rump length) which is much more accurate.
Sounds like they are not communicating well to you. If everything was healthy on your 20 week u/s (all the organs normal, baby average size, placenta looked good, HB was normal, etc) I wouldn't trip out too much about it.

*everyone always welcome*
My 20 wk ultrasound was fine, but they did want to re measure her to get a better accuracy to match my due date. They got jan 31 based on lmp, and first sonogram at 12 wks, we got a due date of feb 9. They never updated their system. That's where the confusion was. But the doc at 20 wk scan said everything looked good. And last week this recent test, doc said she looks good still. I think I'm worrying for nothing. Thanks again ladies!
