Anyone using essential oils to help promote good sleep?

I'm looking into getting a diffuser and some essential oils.  Has anyone else used one and if so, do you think you saw any improvement?

signed,
Ready to try anything.  :)

Joking aside, I have been interested in essential oils and wasn't sure where to start.  I'm thinking the sleep promoting oil would be a good place to jump in and get my feet wet.   (Or get HIS feet wet, I guess!)

  • Also considering essential oils, but for teething. One of my cousins uses them for her kids and loves the stuff.

  • I don't really want to put it on L, maybe a diffuser would be okay.

  • I've contemplated trying lavender. Curious about this too!

  • They are too little to use anything on them. Lavender at this age can burn them. We use them in diffusers which lavender in LO room is a wonderful idea to promote sleep. Also if congestion is a factor at all eucalyptus is also awesome to help with it!
  • I don't but a coworker with two young kids swears by them. Maybe I should ask her about it with the way this week's sleep has been going!

  • I have no clue what is safe for babies but I know some hospitals use lavender for pain relief and studies show (in adults) that it actually works. Might be an option for teething but not sure about sleep
  • I use them. I have a diffuser and as long as they are diluted in coconaut oil most are fine. I've use lavender and peace and calming. It really did help her sleep better. I diffused peace and calming and put a tiny bit of lavender on her sheets or in her bath. We ran out though so I have t used it in a while.

Also somehow I picked up ringworm and I used the medicine and it came back so tried lavender and cocoanut oil and it went away after a couple times.

I use lavender/coconut oil mixture every night after bath time. I just drop lavender on my hands and give a "massage" with the coconut oil. It's the same oil I use on her bum ;)

ETA I actually use a lavender blend called serenity, it's a do-terra blend. They make hospital grade essential oils, awesome company of you are interested in essential oils. Young living is another brand I've heard good things about.
