I'm a nurse and I deal with dvt's everyday and I don't think it's that. I have no other symptoms of a dvt. I have an appt at end of month so I'll just ask then I guess
I am an ultrasound tech and deal with these cases everyday as well. DVTs can present with a variety of symptoms. Sometimes pain, sometimes swelling, sometimes no symptoms at all. I second that you should just get it checked. It's most likely nothing though
I feel like a lot of people pop in to ask us about just one appendage swelling.
Call to be on the safe side. As a nurse you know better than to get yourself worked up but that can be a bad thing some times. What advice would you give a pregnant woman who called you and asked about a single swollen leg?
I am a nurse as well and that can be a classic symptom of a dvt. I would definitely have it checked out. Most likely it's just swelling but better to be safe then sorry. The last thing you want is a PE.
Iv been having swelling only in my left leg and foot I was told the baby is lying on some nerves and on my left side and thats why it was only in my left leg I also don't drink enough water but it is daunting when it's only the 1 leg all the time. Good luck
I wouldn't wait until the end of the month--maybe if your appointment was in a week, that would be one thing, but four weeks seems like a long time to sit on this. I agree with pps, better safe than sorry.
