Antral Follie/E2 Questions

Hello, quick couple of questions for you - we just started IVF for #2 and I was checking out my lab results and they are a bit disappointing to me.  Only 3 antral follies and E2 was only 50 today after 3 days of stims.  Anyone have success with low AFC and low E2 to start?  I'm almost 41 and my AMH is a bit low so I'm not expecting TOO much, but I was expecting a little better than this.  Thanks!

    My E2 after 5 days of stims was 18 I believe....not sure about my AFC.  I did stim for 17 days but 6 eggs were retrieved, 4 mature and 3 fertilized.  By transfer day (3 dt) we had 2 embies to transfer.  I am in my 2ww now.

    What protocol are you on?  I am a very slow/poor responder, but I do have a DD... so hoping I will be blessed with another babe this cycle.

    IVF#4 ER 9/30 ET 10/3 Beta 10/16 BFFN. IVF #5 final with o/e. ER 1/21 only 1 retrieved, hoping my lonestar is the one. Beta #1 2/6/13 = 209.... please let this be it! Keep growing lonestar! Beta #2 2/8/13 - 586! , Beta #3 2/10/13 = 1898. First u/s perfect little heart beat at 116 bpm. Measure 6 weeks 1 day. EDD 10/14/13
    3/4/13 measuring right on track beautiful heartbeat 171 bpm, graduated from RE to OB... bittersweet.
    PAIF/SAIF always welcome! Its a girl!

    TTC#2  No birth control since DD was born.  Getting ready to jump back in the saddle.  Weaning this month. RE
    appt scheduled 5/8.   Here we go again!

    IFV# 6.  10/27  6 retrieved 4 mature 3 fertilized.  2 made it to 3dt 10/30. 1"very pretty 8 cell" and 1 6 cell.  Beta
    11/13.   Please stick embies!!!!  We love you so much already! 11/12/14  POAS, BFP... beta tomorrow!
    11/13 beta #1  924!!!  2nd bet 11/15 1906, one more on 11/17 3rd & final beta 3430.  First u/s 12/5, 7w4d, 2 heartbeats,
    both measuring right on track....2nd u/s... all is well... both beans measuring right on track... released from RE... first
    appointment with MFM 1/5.  Looks like this is really happening!

    I'm on a micro-flare protocol - 10 units Lupron morning and night, 300iu Gonal-F morning, 150iu Menopur night. 

    Wow, 17 days of stims!!??  I hope I don't have to go that long!

    I only had 5 AFC for my IVF and I ended up getting 8 mature eggs. No advice on E2. They never gave me levels.

    Just wanted to say good luck and hi! I remember you from way back.
    IVF, acupuncture, meditation and a miracle.

    With my second (and successful) full cycle, I was told my e2 was around 50/60 after 3 days of stims. It happened with both cycles, actually. They flipped both times and upped my meds. I stimmed for around 12 days, but ended up with a much better response than my AFC would have predicted. My RE never ran my AMH levels since he felt he didn't need that test to tell him I needed high doses of meds, so no thoughts there. I was on a Lupron Stop protocol.

    Hi!!  And thanks for the info.  I'm trying not to worry since it's still so early.
