Post pregnancy worries

wondering if any one is experiencing the same thing I am. I am 3 weeks pp from a c-section, and ever since I've been home my stomach has not been the same. When I am breast feeding (not every single time) my bowels go crazy and have to use the bathroom right away! Not sure if its a hormonal connection or if my bowels are just adjusting from being pregnant.

Re: Post pregnancy worries

  • I had to go badly twice while feeding all if a sudden. I had thw opposite problem though and was constipated. I had to take stool softners. I had been told at the hospital that a c-section slows down the intestinal tract so bowels will be slower. I'm 4 weeks pp and still not back to normal.

  • I think CS have different effects on everyone. I have been pretty constipated (besides being sick yesterday) (cs was 1 month ago today) but when I have to go it's been extremely sudden and toilet clogging. My plumber DH hasn't been very happy with having to unclog it once a week after I go :\">

Absolutely in love with our 'big' family!

I'm also a proud Auntie to a crazy little girl, her brand new baby sister, a little man on his way in the next month, and a sweet little mister we will miss forever!!!
  • I had a vaginal delivery, but I'm having similar issues at least once a day I start feeding DS and immediately feel like I'm going to crap myself. One of the nurses in the hospital said bfing makes your uterus contract to help it get back down to size. But I don't know how long it keeps doing that after birth or if that could contribute to bowel issues.
  • I always get really nauseous while breastfeeding. I'm almost 7 weeks pp now and it's getting better but I thought that was strange.
