Does everyone get a day 3 baseline u/s? My RE I guess decided I don't need one any longer? He said if I didn't have a cyst last baseline, we could forego them. But I did have a cyst, just not a functional one?? My RE is fabulous...RE staff kind of sucks balls. They were kind of rude when I questioned it, too
Ditto ^^^ Always did a baseline u/s and b/w with the RE. You never know what will happen. I'm throwing them some major side eye especially since you DID have a cyst and it seems like they're like "Well it wasn't doing anything, so nothing could ever possibly go wrong" that is just dumb logic. I've gotten cysts on just about EVERY Clomid cycle, and didn't grow a functional cysts until the very last one. SO, the moral is, just because you have decorative cysts one cycle, doesn't mean they can't randomly turn into something more on another cycle.
Good for you for questioning that shit, and fuck them for being rude. If there's one thing I've learned in my bagillions of years of IF treatment cycles, it's that you absolutely MUST advocate for yourself. If it were me, I would ask to speak to the Dr directly, and let him (her?) you'd feel more comfortable doing a baseline just to err on the side of caution. The alternative is potentially going through half your damn cycle, only to find out you're canceled because of some dumshit that could have been seen during baseline, you know?
Good luck.

Ours always does. Will you still get CD3 bloodwork? My meds were cancelled last cycle on the info from CD3.

word, potato. The other fun fact is my dr will be out for my midcycle so I get to see a nurse. Not super pleased.
Maybe their 60-80% success rates with IVF is because they manage IUI patients so poorly, patients that could have succeeded with IUI if they were managed correctly are being corralled into IVF to boost their numbers....I will definitely be having a discussion. Best in the country my ass. I'm just pissed.

No, nothing! I had a cancelled cycle in August because my E2 was 128. But the two subsequent cycles, despite the cyst, I had normal bloodwork. I don't know.

I've had that thought before too.

Now it looks like I'm going to surge before im even done with the letrozole. Wtf? I don't get what the hell is wrong with my ovaries. Am I an over responder?
I think maybe one or two of my early TI cycles I didn't have a baseline, but all of my IUI cycles I did. I wouldn't want to start dumping money into a cycle just to have them half-ass monitoring. I don't ever get CD 3 blood work done, but maybe that is that strange?
I don't think Femara itself can cause a pos opk, but maybe it is just making you surge early?

I haven't felt pushed into IVF, but I think I might have said from the beginning that it wasn't an option for us. And I really stressed that I wanted to keep it as simple as possible for as long as possible.
2 of my mid cycle ultrasounds were done by one of the nurse practitioners and I think she did a great job. I wouldn't worry too much about that.

I haven't met her yet. I think she'll do my iui too, Bankowski is out this next week. I cannot say enough good things about him. when I suggested triggering before my follicles got to cyst-size, he was all for it. He listened and didn't brush me off like I was crazy for thinking for myself. The nurses on the phone are another story.
Yeah, the nurses on the phone are terrible at times. I go to the westside office and the nurses/medical assistants that do the blood draws are just as bad. It seems like in the world of health care it would be a pretty decent place to work so I don't get why they are so crabby all of the time.

I go to the lovejoy one, and I love the girl that takes blood. She's awesome! But the front office and nurses, yes, not that great. I think they are slammed busy all the time, that would be very hard.
I go in today for my midcycle, and want to ask the np if we can test estradiol to see the health of the follicles. So we'll see how that goes.

If this is too personal I get it, it is the internet, but do you go to Oregon reproductive?
