    Appointments/Updates? Appointment this Wednesday.

    Rants/Raves? Why did my kids sleep yesterday until their normal time (so adding an extra hour with the time change), but then get up this morning an hour early (after a crazy busy day without nap time yesterday)?! And, why do I want a French vanilla cappuccino so dang badly? And, why don't I have a cappuccino maker?

    When do plan on allowing visitors at your home? I'm fine with people stopping by as soon as we're back home, provided they're healthy and don't stay TOO long.

    Any plans for a first meal/drink after LO is born? Absolutely no idea.

    Appointments/Updates? Next one should have been this Thursday, but my son has an appointment with the pediatric ENT, and since I'm not having any issues with the pregnancy, it was easier to reschedule my appointment. To next Tuesday.


    Rants/Raves? I'm starting to freak out. Because of having an RCS, I have, at best, 8 weeks left. I'm not feeling ready.


    When do plan on allowing visitors at your home? Since we're not expecting many visitors except our parents, they can come whenever. It's not our first rodeo (I hate that expression lol), so my 'bonding time' with the new baby will be my stay in the hospital after the c-section. After that, with the other kids at home, all bets are off, lol.



    Any plans for a first meal/drink after LO is born? My ultimate first meal would be a huge sushi boat, but there is literally NO WHERE to get good sushi around here, so, first meal will probably whatever they serve me in the hospital. lol. The food was pretty good last time. I don't drink alcohol normally, so I haven't limited my liquid intake. Although, a huge vanilla shake sounds good right about now.

    Appointments/Updates? not really, but I think I'm getting a sore throat.


    Rants/Raves? Booooo sore throat. In other news, I'm almost done painting the baby's room, and the crib is being delivered Friday! Hooray!!


    When do plan on allowing visitors at your home? I don't really mind when they come and visit, as long as they don't stay for more than a couple hours.



    Any plans for a first meal/drink after LO is born? SUSHI. Two salmon and avocado rolls, two orders of salmon sushi, two orders of tuna sashimi and a miso soup. NOM. My old favorite restaurant from when we used to live in downtown Boston delivers to the hospital where I'm having the baby, so that's definitely happening.

    Rants/Raves? Emma keeps kicking the same spot over and over and it HURTS now... and I keep pulling a muscle in the same spot when I roll over at night.
    When do plan on allowing visitors at your home? I don't plan on restricting visitors as long as they're healthy :)
    Any plans for a first meal/drink after LO is born? What ever I'm craving at the time.  I haven't really missed anything on the "off limits" list.

    Appointments/Updates? 
    Yes!  It looks like my doctor scheduled my c-section - January 20th at 7:30am.  I'm so excited!  That's just three days before my bday.  On a not-so-fun note.  I took my GD test last Friday.  I didn't mind the drink and everything was going fairly well until the blood draw.  I just about blacked out, started seeing spots.  Then two different nurses tried for a total of 4 times to get back into a vein (apparently mine are small) but they couldn't get the last vial.  They said they could take that vial at the next appointment since it was just to test for iron levels.  But now, 3 days later my arms are still sore and bruised.

    Rants/Raves? 
    Rant - I am just so uncomfortable all the time.  If it's not pressure, it's back spasms, if it's not that it's sciatic pain.

    Rave - I've been getting a lot of random compliments and congratulations lately from strangers.  It makes me happy.  

    When do plan on allowing visitors at your home? 
    I honestly have no idea.  I don't really like having company over much and I think I'll want some time to recover from the CS.  On the other hand, recovering may make me frustrated that I can't get anything done around the house so if my mom wants to come over and help out or watch the baby so I can get something done, then maybe I'll want some help.  I'm just going to play it by ear.


    Any plans for a first meal/drink after LO is born?
    Yes.  I want a big bottle of Innis and Gunn.  My favorite beer in the world.  It's hard to find in stores near here, but it just so happened that I was in the gas station two days ago and they added it to their craft beer section... it's just taunting me.  Other than that I'm not sure.  I've kinda been a "rule" breaker and haven't been keeping myself from eating much.

    So, it's week 28 for me, and I have never noticed this thread happening. :(  Will you all still have me??

    Weeks? Food/Fruit? 28 weeks and... eggplant, I think?


    Appointments/Updates? I have a growth ultrasound and the 1 hour glucose test tomorrow.


    Rants/Raves? I feel pretty good overall. I keep waiting for some of the issues I had in 3rd tri with my daughter to pop up, but so far, so good. Fingers crossed!


    When do plan on allowing visitors at your home? As long as they are healthy, people can visit as soon as we get home. We won't have overnight visitors, though. 



    Any plans for a first meal/drink after LO is born? Not really, but I haven't really restricted myself from the foods I enjoy during pregnancy. It's more in moderation, but I still have caffeine, sandwich meat etc...

    @SheHulk723 ugh, that blood draw sounds horrible. The first girl said that she used too big of a needle on me but doesn't like to poke people more than once, so another person came and did the other arm. At least you don't have to retake it because they didn't get the last vial! 

    @papapalie what is better than sex cake? Is that really what it is called? 

    @misslizzy82 I think I've already told you, but we are naming DD Emma as well. So I love your name choice! :)
    It just got worse unfortunately.  I JUST got the call that I failed my 1 hour test so I now have to do the three hour test.  I do NOT want to do this ugh.  So 10 days from now I'll be doing that =(

    28 weeks. Egg plant

    Just got home from my midwife and mfm. Everything looks good. Little guy is growing good, he's 2 lbs 11 oz. 78th percentile.
    I start my 2 week appointments, and my weekly ultrasounds and NST the beginning of December. My MFM is talking to my midwife today about the possibility of doing a water birth, if I so choose... so I should find out next appointment what the verdict is. Got another 4d ultrasound today! He's certainly plumped up since last month!

    No rants or raves

    I'm not opposed to visitors, but I know I shouldn't/won't get any because family is a few hours away. My mom will be here, so that's enough. I prefer my alone time and quiet anyway.

    Nothing special I'm looking forward to. I'm not restricting anything from my diet. I don't drink, but if I want a small glass of wine, I'll have one. I don't drink beer or hard liquor. I don't eat sushi....so there's that.

    I had my repeat a/s today.  My placenta is still .7cm away so I have another appointment on Dec. 4th.  If it's not at least 2cm away then, I'll have another appointment at 36weeks.  If it's not at least 2cm away by then they'll sechdule a c-section.  FX!

    Been a busy week, but I somehow missed this Monday!

    Appointments/Updates? Had my 28 week appointment yesterday and it went mostly well. I failed one of the 4 draws for the 3 hour so I have to repeat that in a month. He also said he'd order an ultrasound at my next appointment in a month, so that's exciting. I didn't have any ultrasounds after the anatomy scan with DD so I'm looking forward to another peek at this little guy!


    Rants/Raves? No rants, but my rave is that this time tomorrow I will be home with my family in South Carolina! I'm dreading getting up at 4am and flying pregnant with a toddler (DH is going too so that will help), but I could not be more excited about this trip!!


    When do plan on allowing visitors at your home? We'll have no restrictions as long as people are well. My parents will hopefully be in town and we have a few close friends who may even visit at the hospital. We're pretty laid back in general so I welcome visitors (I also live across the country from family and a lot of friends have moved recently so my visitor pool is not large at all). 



    Any plans for a first meal/drink after LO is born? Not sure what I'll get in the hospital (last time we got Newks becuase they're right next door), maybe I'll have jimmy Johns delivered but I've been eating that the whole pregnancy. I do have big plans for my first meal once I'm home, with DD was shrimp and grits (my mom made them) and a frosty Presidente (Dominican beer). I plan to repeat that and already have my Presidente waiting!
