PSA: Temporal thermometer

I've seen a few mamas saying they are wanting to purchase a temporal thermometer for Christmas or whenever... The one we have (and love) is apparently on sale this week at target!

    We got one of those a while ago and didn't like it. It wasn't necessarily hard to use, but it wasn't as easy as like an ear or under arm thermometer. We also always got a lower temp read using it than we did with any other thermometer, so the don't seem as accurate as the other kinds... just thought yall should know!

    I took my temp first before taking LO's when she had a fever. I know from charting a million years ago what is normal for me. I found it to be pretty accurate. 

    Being with my LO rocks! DD born 6/13/14.

    It you participate in fsa and happen to have money left, fsa funds can be used for thermometers. No prescription needed. I think it is one of the few things that doesn't require prescription now.

    I've got one from a friend of mine and I don't like it. Wanted to return it, but I don't want my friend to be upset. I would rather use my non-contact forehead thermometer for my kids.

    Another thing to remember with these kinds, if you LO has been screaming their head off, the temp might read a bit higher.

    I wanted one, but it seems like more trouble than it is worth at this point.
