its been a really long time

I kept meaning to give you guys updates, but when my fall semester started it was all I could do to keep up with DS and homework and the house.

Charlotte Rae is here!!! She arrived yesterday after maybe 6 hours of real labor and TEN WEEKS of irritable uterus/prodromal labor. I went to the hospital around noon yesterday because I wanted something to help me sleep, because my contractions didn't feel different from anything in the last week and I was convinced that I wasn't in labor. Well. I was. Three hours later, she was born, shocking the nurses and doctors because I was so quiet through contractions. I pushed for about ten minutes and did yelp at the ring of fire. She is 7 pounds, 19.25" long, has lots of dark hair and looks like her daddy. She came the day after her brother's birthday haha.

School is.going well. I have solid As in all my classes and all my professors are very willing to work with me as a result, and one of them said she would drop all the work I miss in these next few weeks. My goal is to end up on the Dean's list!!!
